That looks to have been a well thought out project that turned out great! Thanks for explaining both why and how you did it. Great use of space keeping small sections as cubbies for smaller gym accessories. I can't wait to see what you plan to do with the rest of the gym.

I absolutely dig this! I was trying to figure out how to separate other garage storage items from the “(get) BUFFER ZONE” Especially the nosey neighbors blinds. Can still get fresh air with the garage door open but no peeping Tom and Jerry’s.

It's nice that your gym has nice a aesthetic. Mine is far from nice. I'm quite surprised that you have a ritfit rack. Why did you choose to go with a lighter gauge steel rack? I struggle to realize that not everyone want to focus on squat, bench, deadlift, and other heavy barbell work, so I assume that everyone should go with 2x3 or 3x3 11 gauge steel. (or 7! if you can afford it!) ...though I know that's not the case. ...Also, you should do that barbell tour. I'm a sucker for barbell nit-picking. Which ones do you like, use, and why?

Barbell tour goes live on Thursday! As for the rack, it's only there because they sent it to me for review. It's absolute NOT the rack I want in my gym! I'll be selling that and the Major Fitness rack I have very soon and getting back to something decent.

Do you see any negatives to having your smith machine positioned against the slope? Assume the garage foundation is sloped towards the door. Building mine now and convinced myself it must go front to back for this reason. Am I over thinking it?

Most garages are pitched at a very shallow angle and it shouldn't matter at all.
