Why do we de-green the Barbie ears? We want to keep the dolls in good maintenance for the future.

Anyone have any idea what this would be, in the states? Or can I buy it here? I've several green-eared darlings, and would just love to repair them!! They came with others, so wound up with like 20, because I bought in bulk, mostly to get rarities and clothes. Yes, all are for me - I just couldn't pass up so many #3s, #4s, and Bubbleheads!! My mom regrets trying to take my toys away, as a little girl, because I kept all my sisters, brother's, and mine!

When you use the poliboy or the Hagerty stuff is it full strength or diluted with what?

Hello and welcome to my channel, francesco canzolino. Thanks for your comment. The answer is no because they are no Vintage dolls from the very first years of Barbie. A change in the material mixture prevents this method in your case.

10% Benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in the Acne/ pimple cream. The cream version I like best as you can see where you are placing the product. The sun does help with speeding up the stain removal but, not always necessary. However I would sub just that you also put some of this behind the ear as well as to remove this as wet. Also try to pull some cotton thread through the ear hole to see if this will aid with this process. The pimple cream also removes ink and, fabric dye stains. Green ear is a tough one one to remove and, can take a long time. Cation when using the 10% benzoyl peroxide always wash your hands as this can irritate your skin and, keep away from fabric as it can stain/ bleach out the color.

After having lost a Bubble Cut head to the birds I'm careful with putting anthing out on my balcony in summer but I know the procedure you described here. What's your main area? The blonde doll came out wonderfully! I'm really excited for the following video to see how the brunette came out. I guess she took more time and the green area was much bigger. Also, I've seen people wrapping Barbie's hair in saran wrap before doing their processes. Have you considered this?

Yes, that's exactly the reason. The blonde had only a bit of green and the brownette had more green. That's why she has to stay longer in the glas with Poliboy. I 've never heard that somebody wraps a doll head with Saran hair in Saran hair. That make in this combination no sense to me. Early Vintage Barbie dolls also have Saran hair and no Mohair hair because the Mohair was too expensive to import to Japan. Saran hair was produced in Japan. There was even a factory in the neighborhood of the production.

@Carla No, it doesn't do anything to the Barbie hair. I think it's a good idea to wash it after Poliboy treatment to get rid of the chemicals. It had no effects on the eyes but the lips changed their colors. The red changed to a pink/lilac tone and the pink of my brunette Ponytail Barbie became pale but it would have happened anyway in the next years.

Hello and welcome to my channel, Leesa Chittle. Thanks for your comment. It's hard to treat green ears on Mod Barbie. I can only recommend not to use CLR. It may help you short term but it will destroy the doll in the long term. You can read about it in a book I mentioned in this video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3Sap4mXdtCtoqM. Try Remove Zit instead of CLR but it may cause some discoloration that you have to correct afterwards.

I got a brunette Swirl head and Barbie Midge body. The head had terrible green ear. I used Poliboy after seeing your previous video on it and she is nearly done. How do you dispose of the leftover Poliboy in the jar?
