Thanks Hugh. After all the challenges I have faced in the last two years I am very, very deeply grateful to be able to ride a race bike. Lucky me!

I was just reading an old MCI, Xmas 1972. Loved your Motocross columns. Nice ride on the Suzuki too!

@@sprinterdriver4757 I did love that book. It was my second one and sold in excess of 33,000 copies. Do have a look at my latest book: "Scrambling For Enthusiastic Beginners - Growing up in the 1960s without sex, drugs or rock 'n' roll but with bikes". @@SteveInskip Thank you Steve. It is so kind to remember my work after all those years. Goodness me, I did have some fun writing that column! It was playtime - AND I was paid. You should try it! You need a giant set of cojones to go properly fast in hillclimbs - and I don't have them any more. I'm just deeply grateful that I can still ride a race bike at my age.

@@TheThundersprint Too old now, I've only done Baitings Dam a long time ago, on 259 and 350 Yams, not ideal, but fun, in a scary way, sideways, front wheel in the air, opposite lock out of the hairpins, but I was young, fast, foolish and fearless. Good to see you still at it, sense increases with age.
