The Barkey Family, Kidsave Summer Miracles Story

The Barkeys hosted Sebastian in the summer of 2018 through Kidsave and finalized his adoption soon after. Their story has gone viral, and they're using their platform to help other kids just like Sebastian find families. Get involved at Kidsave.org.

If you go to their KZbin channel, JoBen responds to comments like this about how Sebastian does still speak Spanish, he just just learned conversational English really fast. JoBen grew up in South America & actively speaks Spanish himself, so its fostered in the household as well.

Emotionally, I think Sebastian is something of a sponge, and by that I mean that he wants to soak up every bit of the love that his family has for him, and so give it back to them. I think that if people had the ability to feel the full measure of the love that their family has for them, they wouldn’t be able to stop crying happy tears.
