Nice vid Justin, just wondering what solar panel that one is and would you recommend it over a solid panel?
@TripInAVan Жыл бұрын
It’s a 135watt rad power. Works a treat, heaps lighter than a glass panel

Thanks for that

With all these mods and add ons to the cruiser just what is the the Gross vehicle weight? At 2900kg that is tanks full and no bull bar etc even without the caravan ball weight you must be well over the limit for a standard cruiser, considering the GVM is only 3350Kg

G'day mate. Can you tell me what the mounts are called that you used for the side work lights? I'm ordering this rack and want to make sure I get a couple of these. They don't appear to have work light specific mounts. These look great though.

Tell me more about your light bar mate? What brand is it?

It’s the arb light bar developed to fit the base rack👌

Gday, what is the overall height from roof to top of platform. I have been to arb they don’t have any mounts to check for me 😝 joys of height restrictions. Ps. enjoy tinav on a lazy Sunday night.

Hi guys been watching you utube since started touring question. The solar panel you have on your new arb rack could you tell me the wattage and where to get one as I've been looking for a low profile white panel but everyone seems to mack black ones Regads Keith

I'm wanting to put this type of rack on my Hilux dual cab but worried about the roof getting rust from where its bolted on. What are your thoughts?
@TripInAVan3 жыл бұрын
Nah mate, it gets sealant put around the mountings so there’s no way of increasing any chance of rust to your roof if installed properly 😎

I have a Series 200 VX on order. I am looking at what sort of roof rack to get. I am getting a GVM upgrade and I will need to be able to remove the roof rack between trips so that I can fit the car in my garage. Is the ARB rack easy to remove/ reinstall?
@TripInAVan3 жыл бұрын
it's pretty low profile, you'll prob be ok to leave it on,.
@peterdoyle32053 жыл бұрын
@@TripInAVan the car will only just fit in without a roof rack as I have a low clearance garage opening (2030mm).
@TripInAVan3 жыл бұрын
@@peterdoyle3205 it’s only a few bolts in the standard 200 mountings to remove. Not hard, but prob not something you’d wanna be doing every time you drive in and out of the garage 😎

Hey Justin with your solar panel being partially obscured by your dinghy what effect does it have on the charging ability or it’s overall efficiency? Good vid 👍🏻
@TripInAVan3 жыл бұрын
The panel only works properly when the tinny is off. We planned it that way as we only need the charge from it when we are parked up and fishing for the week👌👍

Cool looking rack 👍 I do wonder what force rating is on the dovetail. Makes me a bit nervie. But they are producers of some very good accessories, so ..... (s’pose I’m a bit old school) and I carry some big loads on my rack as a builder. Anyway. Good vid 😉👏👏
