Your dad sitting on a bench causally catching 97 with no gear on is the best part of this video

I first picked up on Robby from the carribean series in Puerto Rico. This man right here is the epitome of hard work. THIS is the freakin' Rocky Balboa of baseball. Like one of the comments said, this needs to be made into a movie and played to all aspiring prospects out there. Look forward to seeing back on the mound Robby!

When you become a sinker baler you completely lost external rotation in the throwing phase of your delivery, you seemed to have some hip to shoulder separation and at front foot strike. Your arm didn't have much flexion, I would say 100-110 degrees. When your trunk started to rotate into forward trunk tilt, there was just no lay back in your arm. Your hand position of the baseball at front foot strike looked weird looks lack of torsion in the throwing arm. As time when arm your drills led you back to where you were and then some. I am very impressed with your delivery as a 17 year-old kid. Your delivery looked very dynamic and you hit a lot of the key components well. Lift-load, early cocked position at front foot strike, separation, external- internal rotation. Looks like you were sitting 90 mph. How hard were you throwing in high school? Overall your mechanics and overall athleticism look best 2020-2021.Overall this an impressive story, I feel like most people would have given up if they where in your shoes. Especially back in the day when there wasn't as much access to knowledge/ technology. Awesome content.

Something that often gets overlooked in sports is the situation people fall into totally outside their control can have such a large impact on their progression. What coaches you have and the direction they take players is huge.

Hey Coach Robby, I noticed on your one mounded 98 (wfull distance, official ball weight), your stride was different than all the other pitches--it had gradual declination (more "stomp") rather than coming down to an intermediate spot and then gliding. Also, I fail to see the logic in training Long Toss, which is an 'uphill move', vs. staying with off-the-mound, which is a DOWNHILL move (different release, different range of muscles). Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing! Christ Lives !

Hola roby ...

Why try to throw 100 when your at 95?? Save your arm dude. Bring back that sinker and mix things up. Smarter, not harder. How long do pitchers throwing near 100 last anyways?
