Joe, I also hate when people tell me I'm doing great, when I know for a fact I could do a million times better. I'm trying to get into my own field and people tell me I'm good. All I do now is compare myself out and know i could do more. 2019 is going to be a better year! Thank you for this both of you

Danny, your trouble with reading doesn't isn't related to your intelligence, it's because of your anxiety and depression. I feel exactly the same way about how doing social media 1) makes you become "lazy" and not do more and actually reaching your true potential 2) makes you feel bad when people try to compliment you, but you know you could do more and 3) makes you slack and not have a set schedule. And thanks for pointing out that having a schedule and also doing things that you're not comfortable doing are things everyone NEEDS. I'm definitely going to try that now!

I feel like a huge part of reading too that not only helps you get into it, but keeps you wanting to read more long term, is just reading something you’re genuinely interested in. Just like anything. You’re more likely to retain the things you learn from videos, classrooms, etc. if it’s something you’re already interested in - you study more consciously. I couldn’t read any book given to me in high school and college, but now going to book stores and finding things that intrigue me is one of my favorite things, and I find reading super relaxing. Pretty much look forward to reading everyday as a break from everything else and an escape into whatever world I’m currently invested into. There’s a rant for ya.
