943 / 5,000 Gregor, I love S1, but it would be OK to say goodbye to this S1 project page that has hardly been updated for more than 10 years, right? It was good in the CD era, but is basically worthless today, at least if you work professionally. You know that. And it is much better to build a master channel directly in the mix zone of S1 -👍- I have been using S1 together with Wavelab Pro 12 for professional mastering for a few months. From version 12, Wavelab Pro is perfectly integrated into S1 via ARA. Studio One with Wavlabe Pro make a perfect pair if you want to master directly with S1. Regardless of the fact that Presonus and Steinberg are competitors on the DAW side. The integrated ARA workflow of S1 and WL12 is simply unbeatable for me. I keep my fingers crossed that V7 will be a blast. S1 is so intuitive to use that I am always amazed when I use it (main DAW here is -unfortunately- PT)

Do i need to master a song when is in Dolby Atmos or i don't need. According some article i don't need but who knows

In next update features we want. *add panning wheel to channel track where volume fader already exists. And they can be controlled with the mouse scroll wheel. *More numbers need to be added to the channel track meter, -12 after -18, and -24 after -30. *Need a inbuilt Level Meter in browsing section.

Hello Gregor! I use 5.5 and when I click on the "song" pulldown menu I don't get all the options you show us and definitely not the option to get into the "program module" in this case. Is it because it's only available on version 6?

For classical music, where we do want a big dynamic range, I would not compress the master that much, would you?

Two things you can add to make it better … the ability to select a part on the actual wav form ( just like in song mode ) that way if we want to select just the hook , we can do so … you can’t do that in the project page … and give us the ability to colorize the whole track … it’s great but just seems neglected

i wont use windows 11, so i been staying on 10. but id like to use the version you guys made for linux.. but i have native access, spitfire audio, toontrack, and some other vst apps. native access, which runs my kontakt, does not run on linux. this is aside from i think you still havent fixed linux version to use them even if i could manage to get them to run on wine. get busy. lol. need our vsts!

Thanks Gregor, how would you approach mastering a classical music release, which requires a wide dynamic range? Are there any "tricks" for equalisation etc. that can be used to boost the overall mix, reduce headroom but avoid the big no-no in classical music mixing/mastering: loss of dynamics and subtlety?

Would be cool if Studio One made a master for vinyl plugin. A multband with phase issue free mono and and stereo options between bands.

I usually use the Post FX figures rather than the Pre FX in the loudness check section. I love the Project Page. And also neat that you can go back and forth between it and the Song Page. I also do not use a Limiter on the song page master out, but if someone does, they need to turn that OFF before it goes over into the Project Page.

s1 is locked like cubase meaning you can't use browser with your own sound to sampler that is not s1 plugin. useless daw. save your money and buy something useful.
