I’ve actually shad tears after a successful hunt. These are beautiful and majestic animals which are a gift from God. Every deer I harvest is a memory the one I injure and loose cause me emotional and physical pain. Hunting is a privilege and many before me have made my opportunity to hunt what it is today. We need to do the same for the next generation.

Just got to go on my first hunt. Harvesting a deer is an eye opening experience Ill never forget. I would not have felt right about not going through the entire process of preparing that deer afterwards. It definitely gives you an appreciation for food and a huge sense of respect for wildlife!

Agree 100%. And if you don’t have a little sadness after harvesting an animal…something is wrong. Taking life should not be taken lightly.

I agree with your 2nd sentence; I disagree with your 1st regarding "sadness". I do a multitude of things that make it an ethical & quick kill but I never feel sadness for harvesting an animal.

Yeah I don't feel "sad", but rather grateful for the bounty the Lord gave my family. We were created to manage the Lord's wonderful creation.

@@whitetailcartel80 i hear ya brother. To each his own, as long as ethics are being followed. On Saturday I had I a nice doe come into our lower 5. I've been waiting on her, but she is still toting two young ones so I let her go. I figured the fawns would be old enough to fend for themselves by now, as she had them with her in the summer. I could've punched the tag, but decided herd management was more important. The Lord will provide when the Lord wills, on His time. Have a blessed evening.

Very nice into list. If I might add one, I'd consider suggesting that hunters need to stay current on the laws and follow the guidelines. I hate seeing treesands on public land out of season as if the hunter feels the need to mark "his spot" all year. Makes me insane

Some states confiscate stands after the season. Not sure how often it’s actually done.

@@InformedOutdoors I wish Michigan would do more of it. There are some stands that have been up for years on some of the public land I hunt. I thought some were abandoned, but with some close I section the stands still get used during rut and firearm season

reading the hunt regs handbook every year, I know it's tedious but the laws do change.

Hunting is wrong if you do it wrong. Problem is most people don't have empathy for other living beings and need laws to govern them. Ethical hunting is no problem if done by the right people.

It would be my understatement to say anything other than I 100% agree with everything you said. I want to get down to distance. You know, get down there and hunt, Pierce both lungs all the way through so they collapse fully, and recover all of my meat with no trouble. Humanely dispatch my game and bring it to my dinner table with respect. I want to puke when I see some of the crap fellow hunters are doing out there. Some of them are fools and the rest, idiots. None of it is funny. Anyway, I love this video and I want my kids to see it. Good job my friend!

What really annoys me is people jumping up and down after they have made their kill, I have never celebrated taking an animals life, I love hu ting and go as much as I can but I will never celebrate taking a life. This is just my opinion. (putting tin hat on now and be gentle)
