Dear doctor, many thanks for your great your video. I've been suffering TSW for 2 months now, and try to stick to NMT method. As a doctor, could you please to spread this TSW is 'a real matter' to all of physicians community. I'm Indonesian by the way, and i did fight about topical steroid effects with the last doctor i met. She told me that i'm over the edge.

Rapaport who explain also T.S.W and R.S.S , im in 10 mounth T.S.W and it still difficult but better than when i used steroids and better that the first mounths my skin is dry and itchy and my face and scalp is flaky but the ooze became too disappear and my legs have lot of wounds , its nice too see you are better today and have a nice day

You're lucky, that's a quick withdrawal if you ask me. How long were you taking topical steroids? It's been 3 years TSW for me and I'm taking cyclosporine and my skins still not good. Cheers from Australia

This is the stuff that kills me tsw is no joke my diet was down to chicken and rice and my wounds became oozy and crusty, just taper until you reach a manageable point then extend the time between steroids unless you want to look like a walking scab. Just taper and try to repair your moisture barrier via cream.

I'm in my 30s now... had been using steroids since I was a kid up until 21 months ago... from May 2021 I got off steroids, then around the middle of August of that year when it got better. I have a minor flare right now.. would rather have that than go trough tsw again.

For the right person, yes, my experience is that you can have a reaction to steroids after two weeks of usage. The variable is the co-factors. What was the percentage of steroids in the prescription. Was it oral or topical. Were you also consuming a diet high in histamines, cortisol, sugar, alcohol, and other highly allergenic foods. Were you under high stress, having poor sleep, having poor gut health, etc. What else were you applying to your skin besides the steroids. When you apply a half dozen concoctions to your skin at the same time, bad things can happen. You're also fighting TSW and Eczema at the same time. So it gets complicated fast.

I’m thinking gel creams would be best to use during the inflammation stage to cool and moisturize the skin. Vaseline and thick emollient creams for the dry, flakey stage.

Is TSW a life threatening condition with the risk of adrenal gland failure? Is HPA axis suppression has 100% recovered rate?

I’m not sure about that but it can become life threatening if you get an infection and it slips into your bloodstream usually they’ll give you antibiotics but even anti biotics can make TSW worse for some people
