A nice step into the topic, and I can recommend that book, since it's a great read not only for beginners to get inspired and learn something! One thing that seldomly gets mentioned about Triggers & Gates in respect to clocking units is the sensitivity of the clocking-inputs, especially with triggers: Depending on the choice of modules when starting out, some people will face confusion, since some clocking does not seem to work as intended, because the clockinput of a device does not recognize the trigger every time or even at all. This happens with some clockdividers that spit out triggers that don't quite reach the voltage-amplitude that is needed for another module to recognize it, with others the dependence on a certain duty-cycle hinders a trigger from being recognized because the "event" is way to short. This happened to me right when having built my first smaller rack and I did not bring my Sequencer to work with the clocksources I had. I figured the sequencer to be broken, but then tested out with different gatesources at hand to realize, these would work. Shakmat's Time Wizard clocking QuBit's Bloom is a great example: Having the outputs 1 - 4 of Time Wizard not being able to clock the Bloom, the outputs 5 & 6 of the Time Wizard are sending gates instead of triggers which work for Bloom. I'm sure there's other examples of that. Also I later on got the concept of "syncing a clock" and "advancing a sequence" differ from module to module which makes quite a difference in operating some units. In general, I find the digital modules to be more picky when it comes to the quality of the clocking-signal. I'm leaving this here just if for any chance someone is having issues like that :)

True, I even had modules not responding to triggers adequately because I was using cables with LEDs that suck some voltage

@@AlessandroMastroianni Oh yeah, about them, I totally forgot. I've seen some people even using them for critical cv and wondering why their tuning misses the mark. I think these are better aimed at "showcasers" or content-creators in general, since they help visualize what others need to see to learn.
