What are you feeding into the logic module to produce the gated fuzz effect? I imagine one of the inputs is the clean signal coming from the guitar. What is the other input?

Yeah that moves around a lot work wise. I'm in an unfinished studio room so the storage to having things out to hand, to full modular case ratio isn't there yet. I think it's funny though, some people are triggered by it I think but they're all placed carefully and all working.

Yeah you can patch any signal in. If it's binary/gate based logic it will just depend on when the LFO levels cross the thresholds for the circuit.

This was such a great explanation and it got me thinking, would I be able to use logic to derive a semi stable clock from a kick and snare pattern?
@DivKid5 ай бұрын
Thank you. The idea of stable depends on the kick and snare patterns. But you can combine the two gate/trigger streams with OR logic.

In philosophy, we all study logic in a pretty elementary way (unless you specialize) but it blew my mind when my professor explained that you can express "And" with MIN{x, y} and "Or" with MAX{x, y}
@DivKid Жыл бұрын
Yeah that's a smart way to look at it. Minimum of the two signals is the AND, so both need to be high for that to be the minimum and MAX for the OR ... clever! Thanks for that.
@patienthands Жыл бұрын
@@DivKid That's right. In logical systems with only two truth values, i.e. True and False, we can represent them as 1, and 0 respectively, and then write e.g. MIN{1,0} = 0; MIN{1,1} = 1. Whereas for OR, MAX{1,0}=1; and only MAX{0,0} = 0.
