Great Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Riddleagan Possessing Piano Remedy (probably on Google)? It is a good one of a kind product for learning how to play the piano easily without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker finally got excellent success with it.

Hands together is so difficult! Each hand want to do the same thing, with the same fingers, at the same time. Lots more practice needed to get them independant.

According to the video, when I play with the right hand, I play C, D, E with fingers 1, 2, 3 and then need to do 'finger crossing' in order to play notes F, G, A, B with fingers 1, 2, 3, 4. Is this always the case, even if I don't need to play (as least not for a while) A and B? Let's say that I need to play the following with my right hand: C, D, E, F, G. Should I play all of them without finger crossing (playing with fingers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), or should I do finger crossing as shown in the video (so it will be fingers 1, 2, 3, 1, 2)?

If you have to go with RH from C⁴ to C⁶ then you put thumb on C⁵ (undercross from B⁴ to C⁵) instead of 5th finger, right?

I would assume it's the exact same for any scale that has the same number of notes. 5 fingers, 8 notes, would be the same method in my opinion.

Are you supposed to crossover with your third finger on all scales? I’ve noticed that the finger motion is very awkward with some scales depending on the orientation of the black keys and in some videos people tend to crossover at their fourth finger.

For right hand upwards and left hand downwards, the pattern is 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 1... For left hand upwards and right hand downwards, the pattern is 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 3... So you see, some crosses are at the 3rd finger; some are at the 4th finger. The place in that pattern where you start depends on which scale and which note of that scale you start on.

how can you teach keeping the thumb out of the keyboard all the time? That's not a good technique. After crossing, the thumb must remain on the keys, not far from them like you show.
