lol, I just made some stilts today, hoping to be ready for Halloween; I fell half a dozen times. My stilts are only 20" though.Thank you for these videos. I do not know anyone who has ever walked on stilts, so this is a great help! I am up walking and thinking of making a longer set.

excellent video! Love that you keep mentioning respecting the stilts, so important in any sort of acrobatics or skills such as tilting. Just printed the materials list and I'm psyched to get the materials, build them, and slowly build my skills.

Thank you so much for sharing these videos! I just discovered your channel and seeing your joy and passion for stilting is really awesome. Makes me realize that I really should be following the passion I have for circus arts, it's something I've always wanted to do so badly but just feels inaccessible sometimes due to financial and physical barriers. Thank you for helping to break those down!!

I really only need 1 to 2ft foot stilts, for my costumes, so hopefully it won’t be too hard. This is really helpful. thank you!

excellent video on the slits curious if you know or can do a video on getting up off the ground and how to fall properly to the ground in the case your balance goes to crap

I'm not sure if you still check this video's comments or even use this channel anymore but where do you get stilts like these?
@StiltFactory3 жыл бұрын
Hi, of course we do! We are here. The website is StiltFactory.com and I believe that is also listed in the video. Thanks

This is awesome! I want to try stilting! What would I do if I fell? Crawl to a garbage can to get back up? Should I wear butt padding? Seems like falling probably happens sometimes even to the best stilter. I just wonder what the best way to handle it would be. Thanks so much. Looks magical!
@StiltFactory8 жыл бұрын
I think when that moment of falling happens it depends on your skill level. Beginners might want to take the stilts off and catch their breath. Otherwise there's a number of ways to get up- check out "The advanced stilting ideas"-kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnXXqWSFpsadnKc Also if you feel nervous about the 3' height, what about just making them 2'? Have fun!

Also curious how long can they make stilts that somebody can actually balance and walk on... i know they make extensions but there has to be a limit ... obviously if you extend to much you are more risk/danger when it comes to falls plus getting up from falls maybe impossible once you ...reach the point that a handstand becomes not enough height i would imagine
@reallyhappenings55974 жыл бұрын
weight not length would be the limiting factor

Why do you need to keep moving? If I make these wooden stilts, will I be able to use them around the house, say for drywall installation, etc?
@StiltFactory9 жыл бұрын
+Prime8inAtlanta Actually if you want stability to work, then you want to buy a pair of drywall stilts. These are PEG stilts with a very small fulcrum that makes contact with the ground. You will have to keep moving to balance. Because of their nimbleness they are far more interesting for theater and parades. Don't postpone Joy.
