Ive read a lot of comments with people struggling with the shell and build priv stacking. When doing the freehands you must check that the foundations have an air gap. The three freehand foundations, two squares and a triangle. There MUST be an air gap between those and the adjacent triangles. You may need to upgrade to stone to see this gap.

In case anybody finds an issue with structure limits (the server I'm currently playing being 1750 per structure). I just disconnected the outer sides via the 4 stone square hatch frames that connected to the middle window of the jump ups and made them their own tc with gatehoueses. Now I can have this amazing mega base and not run into structure limits!

This thing is a stronghold, the roof bedrooms are so sick. Nobody comes anywhere near this base on our server. The anti siege protection is really interesting, id love to see more of that in future builds.

From a noob POV who loves building your bases: - A quick overview of suggested deployables would be awesome ( I know it does take more time unfortunately ). - That freehand technique is a pain, can't get past that. Can it be completed without it? Other than that, love this base!

Freehanding is not a debatable get around and is the only way to make the base as shown, just practice it enough and you will get the hang of it. I use freehands in a lot of my bases and its never an issue on wipe day and I still get base down just as fast, dont let it hold you back they're really not as intimidating as they seem

As a console player, the free hands are a little difficult because the wood model is different, but all in all I was able to get the height on the foundations *almost* correct. There is the slightest height difference, but I’m not really worried about Edit: if your on console I have a video for the correct line up

@@ethanjohnson6875 so on the conditional model, there’s two planks of wood that meet a little down from the top of the low wall. On the right wall it comes to somewhat of a point, for the lineup you start at the top with your crosshair in the middle, and then lower it until the bottom line of your crosshair is just above that little point. Then you delete, pull out the square and back up a little bit (you can watch it attach to the foundry your on and then move forward to get a more precise placement). You place it, then another square and you should be done. If the frames attach to each other then you moved your crosshair too far left or right when doing the lineup

Base is sick but i keep running into an issue with the free hands, probably user error but i messed up the funnel wall bit 2 times saying i couldn't connect two tc's. After i figured that bit out whilst making the shell around 23:12 i had the same issue with putting the doors down. Like i said its probably my fault but just to finicky to reliably build. I'm sure if i went to a build server and figured it out for a couple hours it wouldn't be hard but its a lot of work. Otherwise W base

Use a square frame for the frame coming out of the main part of the base and then change out the rest with triangle frames that connect out to the little bedroom. That seemed to fix my problem with disconnecting the externals.

good 4by4, main problem is the sf will be what raiders breach first and then take control/raid down to oc. Its the most important place in the base to have turrets if it isn't well sectioned which this one isn't other than that its nice. I like those roof turrets. Also those freehands can be a real pain as if slightly off they will attach to the widegap

it’s not able to be built this way on console. There are issues with how the frames connect on console compared to pc. There is just too much stability to be able to be an “anti-siege base”. I built it with regular externals and it performed fine. It’s not a big deal because console players usually only pummel, and never siege

@@ethanjohnson6875 no, i scrapped his design for compound and made my own. I made a funnel, outposts, and patrikos everywhere, with regular disconnectables. As I said, I play on console so raiders rarely online, let alone siege raid

the only thing I've disliked while building, is how we do things so polar opposite. many times i had to fast forward to just try and finish the main base, or to get my first external down. I found myself multiple times skipping entire sections and then going back to them later. pretty much the entire compound i just built the footprint then skipped forward and then had to go back. i am liking the base so far though. also my first freehand attempt ever and i got 70% on one side but forgot to check the other side and got 78% so I'm waiting to see how it ruins the base later. still building. for context, the reason i dont like the building order is because its an insane amount of building and farming to do, to still be like a 4/5 door and 1 ladder hatch raid. could even do ladder hatch, 1 door, and then raid the ceiling to core and thats after so long of building. too much work to not be protected faster, imo

We have tried this build on PTB and a community server and it does not work on console. The externals do not disconnect as the triangle frame is always at 33% stability. It's a shame because it's being a right Batch!

aight so i built this base on a quad server and while defending it they were somehow stuck on the second to top shooting floor and those cheeky little peeks allowed me to kill a raider with a rock and get his SAR and clear out the rest of the base. Last raider was stuck down in TC we trapped em until he respawned XD great base build, whether the attacker knows the video or not this base is BEEFY.
