I’d find it interesting if Reeves’ Joker was more gang focused than the past few iterations. Since he’s said it’s a crime saga I think it would add something to the character that maybe hasn’t been there since Nicholson. Phoenix was more serial killer, and ledger was more domestic terrorist. The idea of joker coming out of Arkham and disrupting not only Batman and civilians, but also penguin and the rest of the underworld could make for some cool dynamics. Something like Azzerello’s joker where he’s an insane killer who also holds power in Gotham and territory would be something fresh.

Do you think a trilogy long mystery could be who is Hush and the reveal is he's Joker. They can establish a break out of Arkham Asylum in Penguin. Nothing plot focused but a few news stories in the background. Then introduce Hush in Batman 2. They can have Penguin hire assassins and one minor character would be Hush. Hes background but causes chaos for Batman. By the end of the movie Batman solves the plot of the movie but one lose end is Hush. The third movie continues Batman's character journey and how ever that plot goes. However Hush seems to be still playing a part. He seems to be linked to the first movie and maybe Edward Elliot's son. That son maybe the weird smile in that one newspaper article is Joker. Also it might be the boys Mother is Martha Wayne. She was committed to the Asylum to see her son who was sent their after being born disfigured. Hush is revealed to be the character Riddler spoke to at the end of the end of the first movie. Who now renames himself Joker. Just a theory

As far as more action. What ever the STORY dictates is what needs to happen. Like my god, there's a reason this is an ELSEWORLDS Batman story. It just drives me nuts when I hear people complain about it being too slow, or not enough action or the cowl, or even trying to bring fantastical elements into this franchise. It's like, WTF, you have the cinematic universe to comic stan Batman to death - for the love of God, can this just be left alone. Batman is a character that appeals to every generation on the planet - even boomers, which this franchise will bring them to the theaters over the cinematic universe one. But it's like folks can't see the forest from the trees. It's a GREAT thing that there can be two different Batman stories that appeal to different groups. I wish the 'fans' would focus their time and attention on the DCU and leave Reeves alone. Let the man cook.

My theory: Considering that the Penguin series will set up the sequel according to Reeves, it seems to me that Part II will be very focused on the mafia. So, Hush being the son of that reporter will be killing people linked to Carmine Falcone (I mean, Falcone is as responsible for the reporter's death as Thomas Wayne) the victims could include Sofia Falcone, Penguin and even Selina. In the end he will try to use Clayface to frame Bruce, kind of like in Heart of Hush, but without the plastic surgery.

My theory: there will be a fight for power within the mob that’ll cause The Flying Graysons Incident and Basil Karlo getting his skin damaged. Basil loses his career and seeks revenge on the mob. While Penguin is in control of all mobs even though Maroni is plotting behind the scenes, Basil breaks into Janus Cosmetics to steal the makeup product and masks to commit his crimes. He infiltrates mobs and cause attacks which orchestrates Penguin vs Maroni Drops War. As Basil continuously uses the product, it damages his skin further which causes him to seek revenge on Roman Sionis. He gets his revenge by scarring him, birthing Black Mask.

I would honestly love it if the Batman part 2 was even longer this time. I would love to see more of him trying to balance being Bruce Wayne (maybe setting up reliefs and stuff after the flood) and still see the same amount of him as Batman as we did in the first one, and I think they can do it in a way where it will keep the pacing, maybe better than the first one. And they could do this by having more action Batman scenes balanced with scenes of Batman in detective mode. Love you boba your videos are the best and can’t wait for the next one, keep it up!

I’m still hoping black mask comes into it. Him and penguin are both eccentric mobsters that basically upped their theatricality to match the rise of Batman. I think having black mask as a presence would really add to the reevesverse. And even having someone like killer croc have a minor role as a henchman similar to Azzerello’s Joker book would build out the world more.

The cowl is perfect. If it changes at all, I would be cool with the materials. I guess, lol. But I REALLY don't want the shape to change. It's by far my favorite cowl. He looks incredible from every angle. That's one part of the suit I don't want changed much at all. I want the overall design to stay the same, but upgrade the materials just because Matt said it was more of a prototype suit. But I fucking love it so much. And I'm not joking about the attention span shit. I'm so sick of the bitching about it being "boring" lol. Sure, more action would be sick, and to see his fighting skills improve along the way. The biggest clue Hush will be in *The Batman Part II* is Reeves putting the text "HUSH!" on the TV screen while Riddler talks about Tommy's dad being murdered. That's the clue. There's no rumor out there that's stronger than the clue Reeves himself included in the first movie. Also, Bruce learned about that towards the end of the movie. There was no time left for him to dig into his friendship with Tommy if he wasn't some amalgamation of Riddler in this universe. That could definitely still be in the sequel. Hopefully we learn a lot more about Bruce and the main villain of the sequel.

Let me know if I cooked with this theory: Since the golden age Clayface was seen in the first look at the Caped Crusader, I do not think Clayface will be in the Batman part 2. I think the rumours were started because somebody heard a Batman project that Matt reeves was working on and they immediately ran with it being the Batman part 2, not considering the caped crusader. So I don’t think we have a clue about who the villain will be in part 2. I also believe that Hush will be in the caped crusader because the rumours circulating around him being in a Matt reeves Batman project, again, not considering caped crusader.

Damson Idris as Harvey Dent/Two-Face could land a potential Oscar imo. In Part II he should just be Harvey Dent and he would fit perfectly with Bella Reál in Gotham’s office. Take his performance in Snowfall and imagine the scenes of him slowly developing the Two-Face persona. Honorable mentions for the role would be Oscar Isaac and John David Washington.

I think Oz putting out a hit on Batman would make for an interesting B-plot throughout Part 2. I think it would be cool to use such a plot element to drive the action side of things. Have like 1 or 2 assassins show up to continuously harass Batman as he hunts down like Clayface or Hugo Strange or somebody. One side of the plot focuses on the psychological aspect while the other focuses on the action. Especially if they are doing like Gen 1 Clayface instead of the big orange monster, then that might be cool because instead of just accidentally doing the Riddler (serial killer) again, we get two things happening simultaneously and it ends up that Batman has to deal with the assassins first before he can finally catch Clayface. Or something...its possible I'm thinking about it too much

I don’t spend a ton of time reading the comments or anything but has the idea been thrown out there that The Penguin may actually be the main villain of the second movie? I mean I know we all wanted to see a lot more of Colin Farrell doing his magnificent transformation into Oz but I think we’re missing the significance of the fact that they’re spending the time & money to make an 8 episode series about him and his rise to power that will absolutely bridge the gap between the 1st & 2nd movies. I would say we should expect to see a lot of him in part 2. Either he or something or someone that is introduced in this series, and I have to assume it’s logical to think that whatever or whoever that is that happens or that we meet is going to be a MAJOR focus in the 2nd movie. I don’t see why they would really do this series at all if that wasn’t the case. It’s got to tie in in a huge way with the big picture. I can see a more active present Bruce publicly funding or going at the mob of Gotham, while The Batman takes them on at night. Maybe even having a give-and-take relationship with The Penguin where he comes to see him and he gives up some info to Batman to maybe get other mob competition out of his way. Like I’ll let you have your little drops operation if you help me get a worse criminal off the streets. I kinda feel like in a weird way Batman & Penguin have some respect for each other or possibly even like each other a little bit or Bats would have taken him down in the first movie, over any number of things he had him on dead to rights. I’m thinking a little collaboration or a big confrontation will be happening with these two guys. Sorry this is so damn long btw lol. Your thoughts?

I’m very excited to see what Matt does with part 2, however, I can’t help but feel that this movie and joker 2 feel like trims of fat on the kitchen floor and that these are being “allowed to happen”, and the minute they are done, they are out and it’s all DCU and there will be no more “elseworld” stories. This has got to be a nightmare for general audiences and it makes zero sense to keep these universes going, the only objective WB is money, they don’t give a shit about art - so Batman 2 will HAVE to be an action epic if it wants to pull anything. Another long form, dialogue heavy, brooding and sad Batman movie isn’t going to sell shit now and it’s been WAY TOO LONG between movies. That is WAY too much time with all the other DC distractions. Maybe back in 2008 when DC wasent doing shit, 5 years between Batman movies would be an epic build up, but now it’s just, oh yeah here’s your sad Batman but then here’s your DCU Batman and here’s a Batman reference in Joker 2 so that’s another Batman and here’s Lego Batman and Batman animated movie made by the same people making all the other Batman movies. It’s way too much of an over saturation and quite frankly it’s making me care less about all this shit in general.

I thought of something similar but with Scarecrow instead of Hush. Clayface would be the sympathetic tragic criminal to whom Batman would need to be a symbol of hope in order to reach him. Scarecrow would be the irredeemable mastermind that beats Batman in his own “fear” game. Batman would need something else to beat him since both hope and fear would be useless against Crane.

comments in this video proves, you'll never get the 'perfect' Batman.. "too much detective work, not enough action... Ears too long, too short... Make it like the Arkham games... make it more like the comics.. change his cowl.. never change the cowl.." hahah damn Batman fans are exhausting. Just allow Reeves to tell his story.. and we all know, Reeves' stories are complete trilogies. not by single films. Why would you want the same version of Batman in every form of media. Allow creatives to branch out the character(s). One villain I'd love to see in either Reeves' or the DCU, I need to see The Ventriloquist. would bring a nice horror/thriller vibe to the movie. and its vastly different from what we've gotten in previous Batman movies.

In fact to be Honest . I love Batman . But I just don't feel it with this guy no diss to them that do . I would like a bat that's as real as the Logan film felt but as dark as Burton's but with no cheese . And I'm gutted I can't watch Penguin it looks great .
