Was very sceptical about the casting and actual making of this movie especially after the Nolan trilogy and even the Snyderverse Batman. But I have to say that this movie was terrific! I utterly got chills with the whole detective noir motif FINALLY showcased with our beloved character! Can’t wait for Part 2! Matt really gets it!

I definitely prefer the Wingsuit explanation over the electricity one given in the Nolan Batman movies. If only for the fact that it never felt like the cape “activated” to his touch. Whereas a wingsuit I just believe even though if it’s obviously not possible

I really think with naming it the epic crime saga, he should lean hard into a Dick Tracy direction, it’s obvious all the villains will have sort of suffering or deformity and when I saw the deleted joker scene and then penguin, Dick Tracy immediately came to mind, especially the video watch and the noir tone. Clayface would be perfect.

Hugo strange would be perfect. I like how his fascination with characters like batman could drive him mad. He could use his patients at Arkham to carry out a "HUSH" plan to push Batman to his limits. In doing so, we are introduced to gothams most notorious such as killer croc, proffesor pyg, clayface, joker, and two face. Two face gets smarter and so does joker and they turn on him at the end and have a turf war and compete for who gets to kill Batman. There, part 2 and part 3, you're welcome Waner Brothers.

I feel like the court of owls, the toymaker and Dr. Pyg could potentially keep the villains grounded while still pushing at the boundaries. If I could have any gadgets or suit adjustments I'd want retractable spikes on the gauntlets, batarangs and smoke pellets and maybe an upgrade to the wing suit and a pair of heat vision binoculars. Also, potentially a Jason Todd/Tim Drake Robin. The Sewer King might also be another interesting addition that could lead to a Jason Todd storyline

I loved The Batman and depending on how things go with the DCU, Matt Reeves' Batverse could end up being my preferred version of DC in live action. I feel like a fish in the desert with the complete lack of news from the sequel, but hopefully videos like this can manifest some news into existence, as they sometimes seem to do. This is my go to DCU and Batverse channel, nobody does it quite like you and I'm thrilled that this Halloween is "Thursday, October 31st." Oh man, I forgot about that! Yvonne Strahovsky in the role, as well. She was fantastic. And @Spike1885 , it's good shit, in the later seasons of Dexter (I think the final 2 seasons). Dexter and her fall in love hard, even though they both go back and forth trying to kill eachother for a while. She's who Dexter leaves his son with at the end of the series. The last few shots of the show have Yvonne's character with Dex's son in Europe, while Dexter drives his boat out into the eye of a hurricane.

I remember bringing up the buzz cut hair cut that they were thinking about doing in a live stream over a year ago, and you were like, "what? a freaking buzz cut? are you sure?" lol. And this was this video I was referring to when I said that the production team had talked about shaving his head, which thank whatever god you believe in they didn't do that, lol. That longer hair was ABSOLUTELY the way to go. and just a bit shorter and styled different in Bruce mode in the sequel. The hair just fits this Bruce so well. I'd love to see someone make Bruce's journal as a prop replica to own. I love stuff like that that can just add to the lore and comes from the movie. Kind of like Henry Jones's grail diary which I own a version of that someone made. Also, a prop of Tobin's Spirit Guide from Ghostbusters is also coming out from Magnoli props which looks awesome. Surely they could do something with Bruce's journal. Matt Reeves's actual journal would be cool to see released as well for some type of making of book. Those would be fascinating to go over.

the “Golden age” argument is SO flimsy. I understand that respecting where a character comes from is extremely important when portraying that character. But if you’re just saying that because ClayFace was a serial killer, that was a normal human when he debuted in the golden age, makes it OK for him to not be a giant monster now, its unreasonable. He is known for being a giant Shapeshifting clay monster, it’s who he is now because it’s the most popular version of him that everyone knows, it IS fantastical, and it’s the right thing for Batman because, it’s what Batman is! A fantastical guy and you can incorporate those elements into a grounded story if you wanted to or if you were skilled enough. I really hope that the Batman Part 2 villains are Mr. freeze, the ventriloquist, and clayface, stuff that shouldn’t make much sense in the world, but Matt Reeves would totally make sense in his, while still representing the most loved version of that character. Something can be grounded and still have something crazy like ClayFace being an actual clay monster. So if you were to say that the golden age perspective is right because it exists, then Batman killing people is right because that’s his debut in the golden age. please just respect the character for what it’s MOST known for and what it is in the original content, because changing that DOES change who the character is. when it comes to adaptation, follow the book but adapt and alter in your own way in the style NOT the content or Characters. This is all out of love and constructive criticism.✌️

I think Bruce/Batman is gonna die in The Batman Part 3. A crazy journey becoming the hero he was meant to be. I can see it now… At the end Batman is laying on his deathbed in a hospital, the room is full of people. Gordon sees the pain in Batman’s eyes and tells everyone else to clear the room… Once everyone else is out Batman tells Gordon “I never said thank you… for all that you’ve done for me and more importantly this city.” Batman struggles to take his cowl off as Gordon helps him revealing to Gordon that it’s Bruce. Gordon taking a few steps back in disbelief while the news cameras from outside of the room begin to flash through the window of the door… they try to open the door but Gordon locked it and it snaps him out of as he goes to Bruce’s side and before his last breath he hears Gordon say “Thank You Batman…” as that’s the last shot as it pans to outside of the window with a beautiful shot of Gotham as it fades to black.
