I hold Batman 1989 and Batman Returns in practically the same rank however Returns get a SLIGHT edge as it’s a Christmas movie and some of my most fond memories are watching Christmas Movies (this one included) around the Holidays cuddles up on a couch. Pre ordered this guy day one without hesitation!

I like both Batman Keaton movies! However I like the 89’ suit more! The muscle sculpt on chest and abs look better on that suit. But I feel the cowl on the second movie looked more sharp and he looked more angry on the brow! I’m glad they released Return as I passed the last time. Then regretted it! I wish they did the Penguin! I can’t wait for Jazzincs Catwoman!!!! What he has shared I’m excited!

I prefer the original one with Jack Nicholson's Joker all day. Batman Returns was awesome too, but the first one was amazing. I also prefer the 1989 suit more. Regarding the figure .. it's awesome that this one has a headsculpt, and that flying cape/wing, so I'm going for both.

Batman Returns was my first Batman movie as a kid, so I have a strong affection for it (Our OG Batman VHS was broken so didn’t watch it till later in life). Super stoked with this version, also my first Batman Hot Toy 👍. Thanks for the vid.

I like both movies, but I love the first more. I have the original 89 dx09, and I 'm happy with it. I missed out on the returns og release, so definitly getting the deluxe returns set. It is my favorite batsuit.

I agree about the double joints. Idk why they aren’t implementing that new design from the Batfleck 2.0 where when u bend the knees and elbows it bends in a more natural way. Should be on ALL new figures.

For me I prefer the 1989 Batman version. The only thing that makes this figure better in my eyes is that it has a face sculpt.

Thank you for your video Jedha and as always thumbs up 👍 👍 Regarding the figure, I personally have a ,,slightly" different opinion. The problem is that HotToys figures are sold in Europe at absolutely crazy prices - the highest compared to other countries around the world and there's no way I can spend €550-600+ on a figure without my standards being sky-high as well !!! The first problem for me is the rubber material: it just doesn't look good, but the main question is: will the figure hold this pose with bent arms without any damage and for how long ? The second problem, personally for me: For these prices we pay here I personally want HotToys to use bodies with the biomechanics of Phicen = to look natural, with proper proportions and symmetry ! Problem number 3: more metal accessories: these are collectible figures, not children's toys, so as a collector, with these high HotToys prices, I’m interested in the highest possible quality of materials, not cheap plastic like in €1 stores ! And long story short: I just don't see anything in this figure that justifies a price of €600+ 🤷‍♂️ And as always, everything here is just my personal opinion 🙂

1989 Batman was infinitely better of a movie for me... but you're right... Michelle Pfeiffer. That's a very valid argument haha. I'm about to pre-order this one! Still trying to get my hands on a DX09 89 batman as well.

I would’ve kept ‘89 if they didn’t add the stupid texture all over it and it didn’t fit well with the cape. I’m sad I had to sell it so fast. Really like the cowl sculpt, but it got ruined by several things. Batman Returns is a lot better. It’s clean and faceplates look good, and it has better Keaton likeness.

I really wanted to get the 89 Batman but that textured suit just looks awful so I passed it. Glad I waited because that Batman Returns with head sculpt looks fantastic. That suit is how the 89 batman should have looked imo, and idc if people say "it's screen accurate". I don't remember watching that movie and seeing that suit have a textured look to it.

I dunno man. The first movie's suit did have that sort of texture but nowhere near that degree. And I much prefer that design, much more gothic as per the film. That and Dune really changed the game from the Supes "disco" suit. But that texture, and I have the first version. And another for the Jazzinc bmobile when it gets here! This one I get it it matches the batmobile (or the armadillo plating at least) and very obvious knight armour, but eh so boring. But that damn headsculpt is so amazing. Speaking of which, can we ever get some props for the bloody artists please. Is this a Yulli Choi headsculpt? Whoever did it it's amazing and they're nearly never credited. I don't wanna spend all that cash (Joost cleaned me out!) just for the HS, but maaaannnn...

I prefer the more creature-like, intimidating look of the 89 suit, the same goes for the "Begins" suit over the ""TDK" suit. That said, this is a better 2.0 than the 89 effort, even if the figure itself - aside from the new paint apps (less tanned) and cape - looks barely any different to the 1.0. It's all about that new Keaton sculpt for me. The diorama isn't bad either.

The suit material and the way it bunches up kills it for me and why I have to pass. This will only look good in a museum pose unfortunately. They should have tried that surgical silicone or just a different material all together to have a natural looking bend.

It looks great, but it’ll tear and flake just like all hot toys with leather and if you leave the arms like that, it’ll crack in the middle. It’s not worth it.

Oh my those arms are terrible when the arms are bent, HotToys need to fix that for the price they are charging but because they are lazy they will just leave it that way.

I preordered The Flash Batman (with no regrets) but if i didn’t this would be my first Batman…I love this look and I honestly hope one day HT will sell individual head sculpts in the future

Watched the movie again and the cowl is not accurate. The part for the mouthplate should be a bit wider by the jaw and rounder

This is one of those cases that I should've waited longer. I bought the Flash version and I feel that the Returns Batman is still the best suit Keaton Batman to pick. Now I am in a dilemma to whether get this or the T-800 2.0 as I only have one for my wallet. I'd probably sell the Flash version once I get it.

I really love Returns, but I like 89 more since it’s the OG. I have dx09, the new 2.0 with the dimply suit, and the first Returns release from a few years ago. I also have the Mars toys Mr Wayne, so I think I’m good. There comes a time you realize you can’t buy everything.
