The blood bank scene is still one of my favorites. The lighting to make the blood black was a nice trick, even though they have shown red blood in previous scenes it made sense to change it here to get away with Joker chugging it like Gatorade and dancing in the raining blood, cause a bloody red Vampire Joker might have been a bit more nightmare fuel for kids as it was.
@Jackie-McCann2 жыл бұрын
“No games, Joker! Where’s Dracula?” “…I’m lookin’ at him.” This is actually a subtle reference to the very first episode of the series. When they first meet, Joker calls Batman “Drac”.
@herosjourney87252 жыл бұрын
the writers did say that dracula having a red cape is meant to be the reverse of batmans blue cape. And the multiple references to vampires in science and fiction was researched for the msking of this movie.

13:18 Batman standing victorious; his shadow humiliating the prince of darkness himself before exclaiming "I'm The Batman!" is one of the greatest and underrated moments in DC history. The whole scene Dracula's life literally depends on being in Batman's shadow... that was gold!. The sheer look of fear on his face and in his voice when he realises he's facing the one true king of the night is priceless, making this a truly legendary scene. And personally... i believe that the shadow he casts over Dracula is the Batman’s official mark of death with the audio cue & visceral image, one of few rare times he’s actually killed something supernatural of pure evil and he marks him with the bane of the bat with no true enthusiasm. This film is just one of many great examples that proves Batman is the epitome of the words "Improvise", "Adapt" & "Overcome", the reason he’s such an overwhelming opponent... he’s always got a plan for everything despite being only human. Also, does anyone else feel that Dracula in this film looks a little like Ra's Al Ghul?.
@TheAmazingWebhead2 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you enjoyed it. A interesting fact is in a way, Dracula was the closest to we’re gonna get of Ra Al Ghul in this show due to the issue of a embargo of using certain characters cause of Batman Begins being made that same year of the show. But you can look at the similarities of both being immortal men with similar designs. Also the movie unlike the show had legit guns and blood. Lol
@CyberDalek172 жыл бұрын

I still love this film, the visuals are amazing. They did good at showing the parallels between Batman and Dracula, their capes while different unfurled and in color with Batman's is blue and Dracula's is red they look almost identical when both are tucked away under their respective capes with the ends spread over the ground. They also made sure to keep a good amount of vampire lore with the weaknesses (garlic and sun), no reflection, hypnotizing stare, turning into a bat and mist, and a subtle one where Vampire's can't enter private human homes unless they are invited in by the host explaining why they aren't picking off Gotham Citizens in their own homes and Dracula was only able to enter Wayne Manor because Bruce was hosting a party. And of course Bruce fighting them with Brains/Science over Brawn in the end with the cure and his solar machine

@@jacobtheusher2833 And Castlevania, as well as a lot of other vampire-centric media. Adrian Tepeş remains my favorite variation, but this film is honestly one of my favorite pieces of Batman media as a whole. And Peter Stormare as Dracula is just as, if not more bone-chilling than his Lucifer in "Constantine". It's just so good. If I ever get into animation by some stroke of luck I would kill to do a scene like the blood bank scene. Just . . . chef's kiss.

Awesome. A perfect Halloween movie to watch by the time I rented it from a Hollywood Video store. It's legitimately terrifying in terms of adding darker material and blood of course. Loved Dracula's look, both human and monster and this was my introduction to Peter Stormare who was excellent. This was also an introduction to the other abilities that vampires have like mind control and speed when all I knew was when they bite you, you turn, hehe.

This version of Dracula was just badass in every sense of the word. Also mind you, he's way stronger than Bane. What makes him also scary is that he's just basically Batman but with all of the powers and abilities of vampires. Loved the classical feel to his themes here as well. Still to this day loved the fact that Joker becomes a vampire in this movie and unlike the others, he still has his mind. I also liked that this is darker and surprisingly a bit more violent given that the rest of the series is not like this at all. Such a great addition to the series and an underrated animated Batman film.

You can tell how much more cinematic it was with a level of realism/darkness in it. Such changes like the guns being real guns and showing actual blood. I kinda wish that we would've seen more of Vicky in the series and not just in the movie. Also, Batman should've taken tips from Ben 10 and made a sun gun. Peter Stormare voiced Dracula, who also played the second Vertigo in Arrow.

I love that they balanced the mythical origin of Dracula with science in a way that didn’t delegitimize the supernatural aspect. And compared to Dracula, Batman has his own kind of grounded “magic.” In the end, Bruce managed to prove himself to be as much of a legend as Dracula. What a great take on an unorthodox matchup.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a game similar to "Ultimate Spider-Man" (for PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC) where you mainly play through the game as Bruce/Batman and you are trying to piece together the mystery of these missing persons' cases while you have to deal with other criminals doing their thing. Then, at certain points in the game you switch to Dracula's POV and your objective is to add to your brood, mesmerize key individuals to throw Batman off your scent or something to that effect, and gain your power through feeding. Then, at the reveal you have to face Dracula as Batman, but you're switching perspectives in the middle of the fight as it goes along. I just came up with that in about thirty seconds and I should probably get to writing. I know that probably wouldn't sell, but I think it would be cool if properly executed.

They sent Dracula away from Transylvania because his home soil makes him stronger. The supernatural exists in the DC Universe this makes sorcerers like Zatara and Zatanna and Dr. Fate possible. There were Two good reasons Bruce / Batman fared a little bit better on their last battle. ONE: Dracula had used some of his own energy to perform the ritual to resurrect his bride so he was weaker. TWO: Bruce / Batman had time to study Draculas moves and anticipate them.
