Like Ben said, the Batman who Laughs is a cool drawing, Grim Knight is a fucking character. I would have preferred if The Grim Knight was the main villain of a mulitverse Batman story, instead of Batman who Laughs.

Overexposed is the perfect way to explain it. I mean, Alternate reality versions of our main Superheroes, especially DC Heroes, are almost always fun and exciting. _The Batman Who Laughs_ and the other _Dark Knights,_ are even more exciting than most... But they've burned everyone out on him. If it went from _Metal_ and then he was not used again until _Death Metal,_ people would have never stopped losing their minds over how much they loved him.

The Batman Who Laughs is an interesting 1 off character. He’s being extremely over used rn and it’s really annoying. His presence overshadowed the other Dark Knights that imo were more interesting; like Dawnbreaker.

Agreed. TBWL definitely was *the* breakout character from Dark Knights Metal and deserved a follow up, but it kinda felt like multiple writers latched onto him or the editors threw him into a bunch of different stories in the hope to solidify him as a new villain, so it feels like he's quickly been oversaturated instead of having one single "Oh SHIT, he's back" story. IMO TBWL should've been kept to one additional appearance post-Metal for now and experiment with some of the other characters in other ways, or introduce other Dark Multiverse related stuff to try and construct a similar success story to TBWL. Dawnbreaker and Red Death could easily be reoccuring villains and would be interesting (it definitely felt weird how Dawnbreaker was kinda swept under the rug considering his massive implications), and there's no end to the other Dark Multiverse characters you could introduce aside from Batman variations.

The best “What if Batman was the Joker” story is Nemesis by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. Things are taken too far in that comic, but Scott Snyder has no real plan and the red lettering on black speech bubbles is hard to read at times.

I was fine with the whole death gas into Joker thing it the one shot because it was an alternate universe, but having that be a thing in the main universe is the stupidest idea they had to do with Joker and ruins the Joker as a character for me. Aside from his bleached skin and hair, Joker is just a regular guy who was driven insane by one bad day. It’s the same problem I have with Arkham Knight.

I think it's kinda a way to explain that there will always be a joker. It seams to base off the fact that joker is a cosmic force that some people like to push or that the character is bigger than what he is. It reminds me of the whole Darkseid black hole, it's a thing that fans can say as a reason why you can't do X in comics.

There is an issue somewhere, (I think it may be by Grant Morrison) which shows Batman uses a polyphasic sleep pattern , having trained his brain to intentionally go into microsleeps while studying or working on the Bat Computer, and so is able to avoid a normal sleep cycle, ease his mind, and aid in his problem-solving skills.

When we are fighting an alien micro virus organism we engineered. When people try to turn on each other over toilet paper.
