I’m a BFDI og. I watched it a lot as a kid and as I got older I stopped watching it. I picked up a lot of phrases and jokes from the show like “Aw seriously” and “don’t call me Needy” but kinda forgot it existed. Then I was like “hey I want to rewatch that show with the objects that fight for an island” and I got completely sucked back into it like a year ago. It’s my hyperfixation right now I can’t stop thinking about it all the time. Right now I’m making a paper cut out collection and trying to collect all the plushes!! A two frickin hour long video about a deep dive into my hyperfixation is like a dream come true. There are some things you missed but honestly it doesn’t bother me because this video is incredibly well made. When TPOT finished we need a part 2!

What's weird about Cloudy Eggs was that he was the one who actually created "Shape World" (one of the most infamous object shows ever for being poor quality) in an alternative account he owned when he was still like a kid. In my personal opinion, BFDI peaked in BFDIA, It had the perfect level of story, animation quality and voice acting/emotion. BFDIA kept the magic of original BFDI yet had the quality (or kind of did) of BFB. I really love how they’re continuing BFDIA, it’s something that was very surprising, but still amazing. Another thing I liked about BFDIA is that it showed the wonder of the world of BFDI in full-swing. I love the small hints at how the BFDI world is structured (like Yoyleland, the slug, the ruins etc). I really hope they do another multiple part episode that follows a long journey for the characters.

12:41 Creator of HTML5b here. I actually pretty much finished the port a while before Cary released the source. I was able to obtain the source for the port by using an swf decompiler which was functionally identical to the source Cary provided. I think he actually released it in response to HTML5b, and the 5b community did still find some interest in the source he provided as it contained old versions of the game with some unused content. Also, there's actually a third way to run the game by using standalone Adobe Flash Player like the level editing community has been doing for years

This was a fun little video lol One little trivia fact I can add in that wasnt on the iceberg though is about BFDIA 1 and the voting for it. So during the voting, there was a contest to be the 1000th comment or something on one of JnJ's old videos, and whoever was the 1000th comment was going to get the honor of choosing a new character to join BFDIA. Back then, I was like 10 years younger than I am right now so I had tons of free time and me and my online friends spammed the comments all night trying to be the 1000th one. When the moment hit of the 1000th comment, it was so close that JNJ actually couldnt tell who the true 1000th comment was, between myself (my old account was InternPony707) and the guy who chose Gelatin, different screenshots showed differently what order the comments were posted. So they let both of us put a character in. Originally, I wasnt actually 100% gonna pick Golf Ball either, my younger brain had this obnoxious idea called "Yallhat" which was just gonna be an obnoxious talking Cowboy hat that said Yall all the time lol so in the end I told JNJ about my Yallhat idea and if they didnt like it to just bring Golf Ball instead. And they picked Golfball which was probably better cuz the Yallhat thing probably wouldve been seen as racist in retrospect😅 So there you go fun fact almost no one knows about, didnt even make the iceberg. 31:16 - I was at the BFDI and Inanimate Insanity 2023 Experience, and during the QnA, one of the fans asked about the cliffhanger with the exitors. They explained that they had considered to expand upon this plot line in TPOT 5 and even TPOT 6, though that never happened. They did confirm that it would be eventually touched upon soon, so its not cancelled thankfully.

Apparently "Goiky" was formerly known as Europe, and it takes place in the future. They might have drew the map wrong. And apparently the "Goiky Canal" is actually the strait of Gibraltar. And Morocco was first shown when the contestants had to cross the canal in Season 1. Battle For Dream Island takes place in France because of the inflatable Eiffel Tower. And the "world's largest oven" was actually in the Algerian Desert. And "Yoyleland" happens to be in Eastern Greenland. And the "pillary ruins" happens to take place in the ruins of Ancient China or possibly the Forbidden City.

There was another interesting theory where someone thought that the Algabraliens are gods/figures of worship. 4, x and 2 specifically have these really crazy supernatural powers that none of the other objects have, and putting the characters together in a game of psychological/physical life and death for their love (a prize). This is the best BFB iceberg by far. This was just a blast to watch, start to finish.

As a fan of BFDI since 2015 or 2016, this video is really well researched and I learned a lot of facts about it too! I would also like to comment about some things I watched throughout the video... 1. Another reason why there was a misconception about BFDI and II being connected is because of how AnimationEpic (creator of II) voices Nickel in II and BFDI and even recommended him in BFDI 17's debut. Throughout II Season 1, there were also mentions and glimpses of BFDI characters shown throughout and even Nickel stating he was the same Nickel in BFDI 17. There's also a short by JNJ and AnimationEpic talking about how and why there are two Nickels (watch it for yourself if you want). 2. Another controversy similar to the CloudyEggs and BoyInABand controversy is about Scratch (who was one of the first every BFB animators) where (iirc) they sexually abused someone. This was also similar to another controversy where another prominent BFB animator, Weeg (who also hosted BFDI 1B Animator M.A.P. collab), (iirc) got into troubles with having been in a relationship with someone (not sure what happened but I rememeber it as a thing happening in 2020) 3. Michael Huang (co-cretor of BFDI) had another channel called Shrill Otter where he live streamed a lot on there. It was a really weird time period where on it, Michael talked about losing his v card, got into a car crash ON STREAM, was a part of Ice Poseidon's streams, etc. The channel is abandoned/dormant and I'm pretty sure Cary stated on Michael would stop live streaming for now on 4. There are a lot of LGBTQ+ characters in BFDI. These include Winner, Price Tag, and Profily (who are all non-binary) and also the algebralians (who are genderless; it is debateable however since the algebrailians don't have a system of genders). Other recommended characters who are LGBTQ+ according to their recommended are CRT (genderfluid) and Bracelety (trans MTF iirc). Finally, Lollipop and Gaty can be interpreted as LGBTQ+ as in BFB, Lollipop implies that she is a lesbian and in TPOT where Gaty implies she's trans MTF This is all I have so far and if I get something wrong, reply to this please. I believe the part from 2012 in BFB 14 is that there was a recommended character, meatball, if you go into the file and search meatballs asset, it says the asset was made in 2012. It was probably a rc that was supposed to show up in bfdia 6 but didn't show up until bfb 14.

i’ve only started to watch this and i just have to say that i love this ^_^ i even have seen my friend’s arts in this video!!!, i have had a very big hyperfixation on bfdi since, well majority of my life although i am just a teen, i still love this show no matter what. this show and the osc itself has shown me many amazing people and most of them are my best friends now, many people in the osc are autistic or either have ahdhd etc ((which i have both) and i cannot bare to explain how happy this show , and community has made me over the years as a neurodivergent person :3 /VPOS (sorry for tone tags, i use them for better understanding)) i hope you hopefully have fun in the osc ^_^ !!!!

Similar boat here. I actually started watching BFDI when I was very young(like, 6 or 7?) and forgot about it by the time of BFB 10. I rewatched BFDI yesterday/today(2 sittings) and now I feel like watching what I missed later. I'm also neurodivergent, so that's nice to hear that a lot of the fans of the show are too. And, of course, that the show is still going on and still getting more and more popular! From what I saw in the video, the show's visuals have improved quite a lot. Though, I might have to save my excitement, since my hyperfixation at the moment is Touhou Project, so I don't really have much will to do it right now. Reply back to me in a little bit to remind me, if you could, please? In the meantime, here's my own little wholesome anecdote: I remember around the time of early BFB(and when I went to public school), making a school project about how cool the show was to get my classmates interested. It worked; they started watching the show themselves! I wonder where they are now, honestly. (This is all /g)

Haven't watched BFDI in several years now. I kind of want to finish BFB now due to watching this(as well as nostalgia and watching ONE). I like the illustration at 8:15, at least. Edit: Wow. The things you mentioned in the episodes that were uploaded after I stopped watching seem interesting. I might have to check this one out again. Edit 2: I just rewatched BFDI season 1, starting from last night to this morning. And, as of commenting this, finished watching this video too. It was pretty nostalgic, and I noticed some story details and jokes that I didn't get when I was younger. And seeing the little details of BFB after around the time I stopped watching(Episode 10 or so) in this iceberg, I want to watch the whole thing now. I even kind of want to draw fan art of it too.
