Just so you know the 23rd contain full blown nazis in there unit at the highest levels, ive heard there members use racist slurs, then be told by more senior member that they can't use that language when other are around to hear it. Many units withing the ww2 community refuse to even take part in events that the 23rd are as to not show support to them.

@@jaredjosephsongheng372 To be fair, the British weren't given perfect intel and were worried about Germany possibly a naval invasion, which hints at why they decided to keep some units in reserve and not fully commit them...even then, in the early stages Germany suffered horrific losses and even when they seized the island...it didn't do much because it's turn out the British had another island to use as a base, so yea in the end just a bunch of paratroopers died for nothing. Besides a friendly reminder of how not to do an airborne operation.

As an ex-member (spent a solid amount of time, bit over a year and was second in command of a squad), I don't recommend this unit at all. The majority of the members are solid people and you can have some entertaining moments, but the upper chain of command defended an officer for fucking another member's fiancée and they chastised the victim. Literally breaking up a family with kids involved and the group of good ol' boys circled around him. Very classy.
