The perfect environment for motivation when you need to remove a windscreen for scuttle repairs... outside. In Ireland. This is dealing with a project camper van conversion that you’ve tried to start but keeps falling by the wayside… refuse to back down!

I’m another hobbyist in the epoxy primer camp! Everything that I care about gets a nice epoxy coat.. It’s great for the bare metal stick, the hold down of filler repairs, and especially the ability to encase old paint so the new stuff doesn’t lift and wrinkle it. Always such a pain trying to stay ahead of rust.. and on and old Sprinter that gets worked on between rain storms! Always an inspiration. If you can fix and paint a sprinter in the elements all of us garage guys have no excuse to not soldier on :)

Loving the commentary, so soothing. You get the feeling this guy would be calm in a nuclear armageddon. I had my VW Passat windscreen shot out by a youth with an airgun. When I had it replaced the old screen was out in seconds because VW bond a string into the adhesive, all you have to do is find the end, centre of windscreen, at the bottom tucked behind the trim, and pull. Brilliant.

The Sprinter was originally to be built in Windsor, Ontario, Canada but things didn't go as planned between our Union, Company and the Government so they sent it to be built elsewhere. Now if it were to have been built here in Windsor I can say for sure that those vans would not have been rust buckets. The minivans we were building had a great rust coating process that held them up really good. I am now retired from the Chrysler Minivan plant after 37 years. Keep up the great videos and I can't wait to see more.

Holy hell! This video gave me PTSD. Right before the first lockdown in 2020 I purchased a high top Sprinter Van. Although I could see it had a bit of festering rust underneath the side trim, little did I know there was rust hiding everywhere! One full month of grinding and patchwork got it back under control. That’s the pitfall of buying a vehicle with so much real estate surface area, so much work to do. I really enjoyed this video, can’t wait to see it finished…

The bean counters decided this bumper hanger plastic was to be a single use Item because it is a consumable in terms of confined spaces where the commercial Sprinters were used "in contact" to Transits and Ducatos .... they break easier than the bumper they carry. So, after having scrubbed a Transit side good with visible trophy traces on it, Your hanging loose bumper needs a new hanger for a couple €uros, You definitely don't need a new bumper though. You don't even need a new (rear) bumper after an 60 km/h impact in Your stationary Sprinter back that costed a month of specialized workshop labour and thousands in repair - don't ask why I would know.
