Have to admit, I do get a little nervous when you are scraping across the ground with that shovel. Would hate for you to cut a nice Confederate plate into. Still nice finds.

Awesome stuff! I think that is what they tried creating with the square nail and bullet and button I found awhile ago 🤔👍 ATB 🦀

They probably tried to make a tompion cap for sure I found a homemade one years ago in a trash pit that still had cork on it too!! 👍

Dang brother, your on um ain't ya. Beautiful NC button. Exceptional tompion with some cork still on it. Dadgum Confederate smooth bore musket balls just weren't as accurate as the rifled Union minie balls. Those 54 cal. Confederate 3 ringers went where they were aimed. Great frag. Thanks for sharing, see ya on the next one. 👍

Nice work Cliff! What do you think the .54 cal minis were ammunition for, I’d guess a Lorenz or a Mississippi rifle. Also, I’m gonna send you some Bengay for that shoulder😂 mine always hurts after watching your videos. Keep at it brother
@ReachingHistory5 ай бұрын
Possibly both like you said I lean more a long the line of the Mississippi rifle here but I don’t really know that for a fact and I’m about to get to some easier ground again soon lol thanks!!
