One of the reasons I like this anime is because of how Rimuru acts and behaves. He doesn't go in thinking he's inherently superior than anyone/everyone there, nor does he rely too heavily on his already-overwhelming power. He's cautious, goes in most times with a plan in place, and tries to defeat his opponents tactically and strategically rather than through sheer brute force. I mean, at the level he's at now, he could EASILY pull the latter off in most fights, but the fact that he only resorts to it when necessary is what I like about him.

In the books rimuru often talks about not showing more cards then he has to. It's pretty smart don't show your enemies what you are capable of cause then they might just plan around you.

He also often underestimates just how bonkers broken he and his faction are. I swear a quarter of each light novel is devoted to every faction having a heart attack over either rimuru getting stronger, or recruiting even stronger people.
