About 3.22 Tattoos: I've avoided using them because I want the build update to be functional for 3.23 also and I don't think Tattoos will go core immediately, though I do suspect they'll be re-added (with some balance) in a future update. I know you can't predict patch notes and so things could still change, but relying on something I know will very likely go away next league is something I try to avoid. About my +4 bodyarmor: I only bought it yesterday from a guy who had been offline 10 days or so. I wouldn't recommend getting a +4 unless you have excess currency. For all this, I was just using a +2 shavs, which cost very little in comparison (30c for the +2 shavs base and then on average 8 tainted fuses to 6-link it, so long as you use the bench in the proper way that I described in the POB notes). You can also use +3 or a "pseudo" +3 shavs with +2 traps and +50% dmg increase, those can also be picked up unlinked extremely cheap earlier in leagues when lots of ppl are playing.

i wanna league start this for 3.23 in ssf. but with the loose of alt gems we have a problem with the mana cost. toying around in pob but it seems hard to fix. For now i fixed it by dropping the annoint and changed it to tireless. still looking for a maybe better idea.

Are skitterbots even worth it? I'm never convinced on lightning based traps. 35% reservation for 10% damage, on a high damage build, and a bit of chill (Plus possible trap triggers I've never been able to quantify). I'd be tempted to try and squeeze in a defensive aura (Not done maths on if possible, but I do have a 90% multiplier crown). But don't have the stats for a decent level grace/determination without getting on gear. Guess I could use +4 stat tattoos, but take a hit on Int for ES then.

I'd say skitters is 100% worth the reservation. The 10% is a more multiplier, you can try disable skitters in POB and see the drops in DPS. You could squeeze more defense auras in by using clusters with reservation and a 50% reservation for skills like wrath. Personally I prefer the setup from the videos, because damage also works as a great defense... things (and bosses) dying so fast, helps reduce the time you're at risk or having to dodge abilities. An extreme example of this, Idk if you saw Ben farming ubers on hardcore, with a 14hp build that just one-shots the bosses. 😄

@@ThatDanishFellowPlays Thanks, I thought about this a bit more too and realised there is some value to the shock - a big chunk of our crit chance is reliant on enemy being shocked anyway so the skitters do help with making sure we crit first time, to inflict a bigger shock.

because POB only calculates the damage of 1 projectile, but we shoot 9 with each trap. So If you hover over the number where it says 9, you can see they added that box specifically for skills that shotgun with projectiles or shoot multiples, like traps and mines (as it says). :)@@dardrothahre4233

Question, why trickster and not assassin or Saboteur? Also, is AegisAurora an option for shield. Or would we not have the stats for it?

Trickster synergizes very well with our mastery heavy skill-tree and the one-step-ahead node which just makes trapping feel smoother and helps reduce the risk between the time it takes to throw a trap and the trap triggering, where you are vulnerable. Our rare shield is easy to craft with dense fossils and decently cheap and it offers more ES recovery than we would get with Aurora. Aurora is decent, but I wouldn't use it without determination aura and that means giving up either Wrath or Zealotry, or doing a lot of tinkering with mana reservation cluster or very expensive rare 30% reservation +5% es-on-block shield, to try and fit an extra 50% aura.

What should i change to play it as Arc traps? Just support gems and Megalomaniac node or is it something else? And how much less dps would it be compared to Lightning trap?

I started the league yesterday, using the 3.22 POB. You can follow my character via my profile. I'm using the new lightning trap of sparking gem and it's lots of fun and seems very strong. I've managed to do fine with just picking up a few chaos while leveling, buying a shavs for 5c, using a 4L until yellow maps then I got it 5 linked and now i'm blasting my way to red maps with really really low-end gear that cost a few chaos at most per part.

There are a lot of life nodes on the pathing we use for our ES build, so just pickup all the life nodes and then change them later to ES nodes when you are ready to commit to ES/Shavs or CI.
