I was always amazed in that kind of videos that how passive enemies are. Every time I get to play on jet or heli I got targeted by 2 or 3 enemy vehicles and few soldiers as well which giving me no more than 2-3 mins being alive(most of them spent fleeing from enemy targeting me)

I agree most matches in either the nightbird or Apache for me and there will be a lot of rao, Liz and lock on missiles after me but they're survivable with skill and I still have really good matches with them, just not as many kills as when the enemies don't focus me. I'm nowhere near as good in jets lol most of my deaths are from either crashing or an enemy jet with radar missiles

dogfighting you essentially just keep ab on and you rate much faster. I'm unsure what specifically the energy band is but for simplicity just keep ab and you will win every dogfight. Only specific situations(one circles or scissors) you need to manage your throttle a little more so you do not fly part into their guns TLDR: keep after burner on 95% of the time unless you are about to overshoot

the jets need some kind of dumb fire weapon like a no lock on missile or bombs considering the lvling requirement for a jet is vehicle kills but the stock jet cant kill anything with armor its pretty painful to play and unlock stuff when forced bail outs or forced crashes dont count or even pilot shoot outs not count for the jet exp

Flying jets can be extremely frustrating. A single wildcat can shut you down completely. Literally making it impossible to even have a tiny little bit of fun. They just need to hop out and repair and your agm's won't reload quickly enough to kill them. And most maps have two wildcats if i'm not mistaken. Then there's the railgun tank that will snipe you from any distace. Strafing infantry = easy fodder for the m5. If the enemy jet is decent you'll end up dogfighting for what feels like an eternity or get shot down. With that being said.. i picked up jet flying two days ago and went 51-0 with the SU-57. I'll try to come for you :P

I'm not calling you a cheat here, far from it....but I look at top players like yourself when in jets and helis and I think to myself, how the hell does he see those tiny soldier silhouttes moving so far away when he's moving at speed in a jet when at times I can't even make them out watching the video back lol. It's one thing when they are marked, it's another when they arent and you're scanning the land for movement. Amazing skills though man, watch you a lot but very rarely comment.

I have probably 2000 hours flying jets and helis in arma 3. A game where you must spot far more difficult targets on 30fps. I swear that game is a benchmark for your eyes. A technique I learned there is to keep the cross hair still briefly while scanning, so you can spot movement

The only way I ever killed infantry with 30mms was in VTOL mode and they burn out too fast for heli kills too. The only advantage 30mms have is they can damage armoured vehicles but not enough to be worth it imo

They may still need a buff? Its hard to say. These world record type gameplays make them seem OP of course, and I do ok. But I think most players are completely lost with jets. I can count on one hand the number of times my vehicle has been killed by a jet. And I have literally never once been killed by a gun strafing run like you're doing in this video. I think the main problem right now with jets is you need to unlock their later tier equipment to be effective. And since they're so useless without their unlocks, it takes forever to unlock anything in regular matches. I unlocked everything in bot matches, and now I'm useful in pvp.

I'm trying my hardest to give 2042 a proper shot but it's a horrendous experience in public lobbies trying to play every role at once :( if I run soflam there's no engineers or vehicles that use their missiles, if I run engineer or vehicle no-one will soflam for me or supply ammo so I'm useless after 1 destroy.

Yeah, I do think the jets need a minor buff. The 30-mm jet cannon needs a slight buff - far less dispersion, better travel speed and more damage per shot against small agile vehicles Both the 25- and 30-mm cannons should deal more damage per shot vs the nightbird because of its ridiculous agility and small hit box size. Wildcat is far too effective vs jets and there's a bug that allows them to lock onto jets from a distance exceeding 1 km. Railgun tank shouldn't be able to one-shot destroy jets (and attack choppers)

I disagree with the railgun tank point. It takes some planning to line up a shot on a jet, if you manage a hit I think you should get that kill. Just stay out of the things aim angle. On helicopters I'm not too sure, it's easier to line up a shot as they are overall slower but still the best helicopters pilots can avoid it pretty easily and go on 100-0 tears.

Something like that.. The enemy team just needs to show a little bit of resistance against a jet and it'll ruin your game. Just went 51-0 in the jet. The day before i went something like 0-8 in one game because the enemy made it impossible for a jet to fly 🙃

The only issues i have found with my jet gameplay are that i cant deal with people sneaking using IR missles and if the other pilot knows how to turn fight is where i loose it but im getting better cant wait to see you in game again to get farmed off spawn for 35 mins
