Someone on the official discord figured out that it seems to be when you take monster loot for leveling up when you leveled at the junk vendor, it gets eaten. Exact same scenario happened to you in this run. So PSA for everyone,if you level up at Curio, don't choose any loot options.

I've gotten quite a few weather glass wins without sick burn, powder keg is a huge payoff, either energy potion or rainbow potion free up plenty of space on the board to drop it right in, plus some crit with inexorable or rising crescendo, you got yourself a tenner ez. I've also had good success pairing it with water wheel and treb, if you can get an enchanted item you get all 5 multi cast boosting a water wheel for huge treb charging.
