Love seeing Ricky Fataar on the cover. He was great as George in the Rutles !

Yeah, I was happy to see both him and Blondie on the cover.

Very impressed with this set overall! Having so much rare live material is worth the price alone. I think they'd use Rock and Roll Music as the title for a 1976/77 boxset. It may be a cover song, but it was their biggest single of the 70s so I could see it being plausible.
@BeatleDustino Жыл бұрын
Yeah, all that live material is great. Very nice set. With how many times Brian asked to hear It’s OK in the Long Promised Road documentary, I’m guessing that’s the title.

Cant wait for roller skating child: the fifteen big ones and love you sessions 1976-1977

That would be a good one too.

The next one would be amazing if it included songs from Adult/Child, in addition to Love You and 15 big ones. It would be a real gem of a box set to have those songs in one place.
@BeatleDustino Жыл бұрын
Yes it would be. I hope they keep this series going.

Imagine if they do release the 15 Big Ones/Love You Sessions and call it "The Johnny Carson Box Set" lmao

😆 there can be some good potential titles with those two albums.

Had the pleasure of seeing Blondie perform this great track live at The Tower Theater in Philadelphia a few years ago with Brian , Al and an awesome band.

I wish Brian and his band would perform somewhere near me. They seem to skip this center section of the US.

Great video! I got the 6 CD set as well. Mine was delivered last Friday, but I haven’t had a chance to dig into yet. Anxious to do so though! I’m hoping they’ll go ahead and release the next set next year and not wait…or I wish they would go back and do physical releases of the sets that were digital download only. That may not happen, but it would be nice!! In the meantime, I guess I should get busy digging into this set and the Revolver one! lol :)
@BeatleDustino Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Hope you enjoy the set, and Revolver too. Wouldn’t it be nice if they went back and reissued all those digital releases on physical media. But it would also be nice just getting the next set in this series next year.

Can't understand how they allowed that cheap tacky cover for the Feel Flows set.Surf's Up is such a beautiful cover.Astonishing.
@BeatleDustino Жыл бұрын
I think as they’re trying to cover two albums at once with these sets, they don’t want to overshadow the other album by using artwork by just one. I agree Surf’s Up’s cover is fantastic, but I also really like what they did with Feel Flows cover.

To the making of many box sets there will never be an end. Also, a fool and his money are soon parted. Go figure……..🤣

I try to limit my box set purchases to the Beatles and their solo careers, Jimi Hendrix and The Beach Boys only. Though that is still a lot.

You have great taste in music. I'm a former music collecter. I still have a decent collection of CDs and vinyl but most of my listening is streaming these days. I do have all my CDs ripped to flac and backed up. I think there is a place for streaming for people who still collect physical media. What are your favorite artists of the 60s besides the Beatles and Beach Boys? I have really been getting into Paul Revere and the Raiders mid 60s output, till their rhythm section split in '67 and they lost their harder edge.

I’m a big fan of the Jimi Hendrix Experience also. I also really like the Doors, the Who, the Stones and Led Zeppelin. I also really appreciate the Monkees, Tommy James and the Shondells, the Animals, the Byrds and the Kinks. Seems like there’s too many to mention. The group I’ve recently got very into is the Turtles. Watched the movie My Dinner with Jimi, and really fell in love with their personalities and story. Got heavily listening to their music and love it.

@@BeatleDustino The Turtles are one of my favorite groups. There's an excelent book written by Howard Kaylan. There's also a great book by Tommy James where he talks about dealing with Morris Levy and the mob. I haven't read a Hendrix bio yet. I did read "No One Here Gets Out Alive" about Jim Morrison and the Doors ages ago. You should make a video talking about all the other bands you like and show records/CDs.

@@telliott I’ve been going through my CD’s you can see on the rack by me. Episode 4 will be coming out Saturday 12/10. I’m still in my Beatles collection though, and just starting my Paul McCartney collection. Several of those episodes will be dedicated to Macca. I’m trying to get my vinyl finds and collection shown too. So be on the lookout for those videos too.

@@BeatleDustino i think they will keep that format because that way people can purchase the physical copies not to mention that way I can put it on my device when I take walks

@@simplemanplan409 they’ve not released some of these in physical media in the past. So very happy the last couple have had a very nice physical media release.
