This week I picked up a beach umbrella to camp in. It sets up extremely fast, provides pretty good shelter and would be suitable for mild weather conditions. Was a great night of camping, always fun to try something other than a tent!

One thing I love about these vids, no bells and whistles at the start, no silly intros, no banging tunes, just camera rolling, Steve in a random location, "Hey guys, welcome to camping with Steve." Awesome. I'm still giggling from the sporting jacket and briefcase video.

You know you’re watching a Camping with Steve video when he doesn’t have a hammer (and has to use a wine bottle instead) to drive tent stakes in the ground but he does have an actual pepper grinder for his camping meal. We would not expect or want anything less. ❤️
@Adams1984100

I would rather use the grinder to get the poles down, than risking the wine bottle. 😆 If your grinder goes, you can comfort yourself with the wine, but if the bottle goes..

When I was a kid in the mid to late 70s, every Sunday, my family would go over to my aunt's house, and we would bbq and basically have family time with our cousins, and then as it got later, we sat around and watched the Wonderful World of Disney and every so often we would watch Mutal of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlon Perkins too right after that. I mention all this because when I think of that time, it gives me a nice warmth and a feeling of home and nostalgia, I suppose, and strangely enough for me, watching these videos of Steve camping gives me the same feeling.

I'm going to be 65 soon and I can no longer sleep on the ground with my weary bones in arthritis.. but I will be retiring soon and purchasing a small 18 ft pull along camper.. and exploring the United States and maybe Canada.. as long as my health holds up.. thank you again and you are always in my prayers 🙏

Hey Steve has anyone told you about omelets in a zip lock bag? Been doin it for years, you just put whatever you want in a zip lock then shake it up and put it in a pot of boiling water till the eggs are cooked then open it up and dump it out onto a plate it should be all in one piece like an omelet then I usually put some salsa or hot sauce on it! But usually I let the top of the bag hang over the pot so it's easier to pull out😉 The only time I've ever had the bag stick to the bottom of the pot and melt was when I used a coleman camping stove that got the pot too hot and melted the bag but that was literally once out of a hundred different times lol Love the videos! I just got back from a boondock at Abraham Lake area, saw a black bear & grizzly on the highway just outside the park. Spooked me enough to remember a tip Steve gave one time - cook smelly dinner somewhere else. Removed seats from my car, built a sleeping & cargo deck - had lots of storage, comfortable enough as Steve advises, car was in a state where I just needed to slide into the driver's seat and scoot fast if needed. Luckily it was quiet and absolutely beautiful. I got inspired for the adventure from these videos, and had a great time. Thanks Steve !

I get black bear over in my area but have only seen one in real life out in the wild. It ran off Thank God after I made enough noise. Usually, they show up over at the place I sometimes do sideline work at & if they review the CCTV footage, you'll see them more on camera than anything else.

The pouches are usually used for sand if you have the shelter on the beach and it helps weigh it down in the wind. You could use gravel or rocks in your situation 🙂

I second the comments on your upped production value, Steve-I can definitely tell the extra work you’re putting in is a labor of love. It’s always a nice fun time to get outside, and it’s a plus to be playing around in it. I noticed that you linked a gear list on your channel homepage-it’s awesome to see you work wonders with what you have. Keep it up 👍
