Started listening to The Beaches at the start of March 24. I absolutely luv 'em😍 They have a great sound and attitude. Can't wait to see them in Leeds this year. ❤😃

"Four badass babes"... that could make a good song title.

I love the song, but I mean. What happened to accountability? I have a hard time believing it's ALL Bretts fault. Every relationship is 50/50 and i don't admire when people do not take 100% accountability for their 50%. It just teaches ya'll to blame the other partner for your breakup. Not the best message.

The song is 100% about blame and not being accountable, building walls around yourself for protection and survival, that is the whole point.

@@johnbonham9422 Right, i get that. I don't think thats a very mature viewpoint to have. People get broken up with all the time. When i have i look in the mirror and wonder how I could have done better, its not all her fault. Its equal.

Is there a rule that songs should be moral and mature? People go through all types of emotions after a breakup - blame and unaccountability is part of that. She just wrote a song about when she was going through those emotions. Doesn’t mean it’s her general point of view 24/7 🙄

It’s an anti-accountability messages. And I don’t get behind that. I’m firmly about owning things and not blaming people.

I agree with ya, though it looked like Jordan made the effort to say 'my Brett isn't that bad,' and 'it's a joke,' (which I've seen her say multiple times now) so I take comfort in that. I also don't get a feeling from the entire band that they think it's all one sided. Jordan had the grace to call Brett and talk to him about it, and speak of him kindly afterwards. That's pretty mature behaviour for a breakup. I also think there's a time and place for every thing, and this song, to me at least, is a cheery-snap-out-of-it/fuck-it kind of song. Every song can't contain every part of the story, and sometimes only one part makes for a good song. That's not always deception. Unfortunately I think younger audiences will probably take the song as permission to fuck everyone's dad and boyfriends and get sleazy but, who knows. They'll learn. Hopefully. And bands can't be responsible for every thing too. It's all too hard. :)
