This is a 1:12 scale dollhouse that I built from a Greenleaf kit. It represents a 19th century mansion that has been converted into a modern 3-unit apartment building.

Wow! One of the first things I noticed is the perfectly scaled furniture and accessories that makes you think you're looking at a full-scale house. Your attention to the tiny details is a sign of a true miniaturist. I am a collector as well as a creator of little dwellings myself and you've really impressed and inspired me.

For the people who think this doll house is for play, it is not. People like to make miniature things and display them, not play with them. This person is very talented.

Wow, Angie, you really did an awesome job with the Beacon Hill, your creative genius knows no boundaries! :) My husband found a partly built Beacon Hill that someone in our building put out. He brought it to me and I just had to try to rescue it. The stairs are partly broken and the center tower roof is missing, as well as the doors and windows ... the person built it, wallpapered it, and then gave up on it. I was thinking of doing it in a modern style, leaving the stairs out ... and then I found your video and you have inspired me to really have fun with it. Thanks for sharing! Your apartment building is very tempting ... wish I could move into the first floor apartment. LOL :)

Wow, what a lucky find!! Sounds like you'll have a bit of refurbishing to do. Thanks for watching and have fun!

I can't believe people commenting that this is a "fake dollhouse" and not created by this very talented artist. On second thought, never mind.... It should be the utmost compliment if viewers are believing it's a real house.
@luvsdvds5 жыл бұрын
I agree, disbelief is the highest compliment in this instance. :)

I think it is fantastic that there are three different apartments in this dollhouse. It allows for three completely different design types. The decor is top notch. I am a little picky about design though. The exclusion of bathrooms in the layout disturbs me.
@kristinazubic96692 жыл бұрын
I always see dollhouses as half a house. Sometimes the bathrooms are in the half facing the backyard!

I know the Beacon Hill was a monster build and those directions were a tad bit insane to work with but you did great. Love what you did to your BH and the patio looks so inviting too :) The bricks are also laid out very nice.

I am a hobby miniaturist and I just came across your video after just ordering my Beacon Hill kit. I have to say, of all the ones I have seen, yours is absolutely fantastic - the exterior touches are amazing, and the interior is done so nicely! You now have me thinking completely differently about the interior. Rather than try and recreate a Victorian-era home and interior, I am going to try the same that you have so beautifully achieved - current day / contemporary decor! The only change I will be making, is that mine will remain as a single family home. But I am going to strive to bring it into the 2000's, thanks so your video! The outside brick exterior is so lovely - may I ask what you used to achieve the effect? I believe I know, but I wanted to clarify... thanks for doing such beautiful work :)
@angieaug5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your encouraging comments! I used Bromley brick stencils for the exterior. I mixed acrylic paint with joint compound instead of the powder mix. Have fun with your kit!😊

That truley is the most beautiful house I have ever seen, it has taken my breath away. Are you a professional? It has to be a show piece, it's too nice to play with. But I would love to play with it. I'm embarrassed to even try to start my house. I found a free house, barn and travel trailer on Craigslist. House and barn was assembled. I've never done this before and don't really know what I'm doing. I could watch this video forever, I'd like to keep it. Your amazing, Thank you.

@@angieaug Oh goodness, I very much am grateful for you to take time to share your talent with me. I love your videos. Your ability to bring every project together so perfectly makes me feel good. I wanted my friend to see your Beacon House video to. I told her all about it. She asked me your name. It dawned on me, I didn't know. I felt foolish, so I call you The Dollhouse Whisperer. I hope that's not being disrespectful, I don't mean it to be.(I know your name now) I think the other one fits you though. Already I've learned alot. The styrofoam stones/bricks is genius. you have to buy the kit which can range from 100-300 not put together and together can cost up to 1000 dollars not including the furniture which i have spent over 500 dollars on and i am not yet finished you need to take the time with these things so everyone enjoy building you own doll house

Love the concept of multiple apartments! You did an awesome job of decorating the apartments so that each one is unique, and at the same time the overall feeling when looking at the dollhouse is harmonious and pleasing to the eye. I also love how you finished the exterior of the Beacon Hill, this is my first time seeing the brick facade and i like it even more than the usual way miniaturists finish their Victorians. The text banners explaining what I was watching really added to the enjoyment to the tour of your home. Thanks for sharing your beautiful project!
