Mr. Thomas Son, Did you also record Chapter 1 of The Bean Trees? I didn't see it in the list, and my students will be reading this text after spring break.

Michele Amini, I'm afraid I did not, but I've been planning on doing so, along with chapter 5, which I skipped with my students this past fall. I've never felt quite right about leaving it incomplete. When is your Spring Break? (And thanks for the compliment of considering using the audios with your students.)

If it helps, I’ll be glad to record chapters 1 and 5 and then make a playlist in order of chapters.

Thanks for the reply. The students have enjoyed the recordings.

That's very nice to know. Out of sensitivity to privacy concerns, I wouldn't want to ask too much, but would you mind letting me know what state your school is in at least? I'd enjoy having a sense of the reach of a small act of collegial sharing.

Surely, we are in The Woodlands, TX, north of Houston. We are creating a Student Advocacy Project as a culminating project for this book. Students have had many things to say about some of the social issues that have surfaced in the book, so we decided to create a project that would empower their voices for things they are interested in researching. If you are interested, email me at mamini@johncooper.org, and I will send you a copy of the project. Thanks for your help.
