Carmy's monologue at the beginning of the Season 1 finale is a masterclass in character development. Jeremy Allen White shows Carmy at his most vulnerable and broken, a man whose self-loathing won't allow him to have anything good in his life which is perfectly represented in his relationship with Claire in Season 2. This show is my favorite out right now.

What i love about this show is how realistic the interactions and conversations are, and I feel that Jeremy Allen White perfected the realism in his performance.

I'm became so incredibly aware of how much I was anxiously fidgeting when you pointed that out about Carmy. Very different personality than that character but I relate so much to his internal chaos - so it struck me as particularly fitting when Jamie Lee Curtis played Carmy's mom and it reminded me of my late mother on her worst days. Such an amazing show.

Would love for you to do an analysis specifically on the Berzatto Christmas dinner episode. I know I saw many of my own family dynamics reflected back in that episode and I'm 99% sure, so did thousands of others. Your insights could prove meaningful

was headchef at a mid place for 3 years. when you care about every single plate that leaves the kitchen; that each one is always perfect, you've set yourself up for a very toxic relationship with your work. when you complement a chef for how good the plate was, the chef hears 'blah blah, none what im saying matters, because i know youre in your own head worried about the next plate, or you're in your own head thinking about the last one blah blah" there's a certain irony to it. you hear about "thankless" jobs. and i can assure you that hearing praise means nothing to a person who's attention is with the finest of details and the splitting and counting of seconds. A restaurant is something to work at or own, not run. If you do both, you'll burn through yourself in a hurry

I really appreciate how you title the scenes you lift from shows and movies in the bottom left corner of the screen EVERY TIME. It would be easy to do it some of the time, or for scenes from media not associated with the title of your video, but the fact that you do it all the time, for every scene and shot is very professional, and gives your content a shared brand or style. And it’s nice. It works. Thanks for another great video!

Oh my god, I can’t portray to you how obsessed I am with this video!! The way you talk about his perpetual movement feels so spot on to how I view him, and the way you connect blinking to his trauma is so interesting. While he panics and snaps at people when his work is involved, he’s not expected to fix his family, so more often than not, he builds distance from them in whatever way he can. I never realized how often he uses closing his eyes as a way to do this. Anyway, really cool video! Thanks for making it

I work in a restaurant. The work environment (I.e: coworkers and management) are okay, that’s one of the reasons why I stay (as well as the fact that there are very few options), but I hate the job, especially in the summer season. The job itself may be easy in the fact that what you have to do requires little to no skill, but having to deal with such a huge influx of customers with almost no downtime is exhausting, and the fact that I hate the job itself doesn’t help. I’ve had multiple anxiety attacks last year. Alas, this job gives me a purpose nonetheless. I have to suck it up.
