Thanks for the video! I happened to see one of these DTW1002Z used, here in western Canada, and thought I'd pick it up. Having daughters, who like dad to do their brakes, change tires and such, the manual ratchet starts getting tired, so this beast I'm sure might be overkill, but knowing it has settings for hight power (if ever needed) would be a bonus. I have one set of the black higher end sockets, but I might just get that other set you have there with extensions and such! Appreciate the video!

Thanks for the feedback. Like Canada we have a lot of snow here in Austria and need to change from summer to winter tyres and it makes that a doddle( easy). I always have my impact in the back of our VW and thought it was maybe a bit much until we had a rear offside tyre blew out on the motorway at dusk in the rain. A very dangerous situation here in Europe. With this beast I had the spare out ( also used the impact on the securing bracket) and fitted and we were on our way in 6 mins !! Honestly if the tool cost 1000$ when your back has 36 ton lorry's flying past you you'll pay. Enjoy the great purchase as you'll never have a nut you can't undo 💪

Need to invest in a new impact wrench , definitely will look at the Makita ,!!!!!! Off topic,, any chance you'll be doing a video about the auxiliary engine heater , webasto thermo top c in a caravelle , mine not working , wouldn't know where to begin fixing it ,

You won’t regret makita. On the heating not sure what you mean. Are talking about the roof lining heater in the back as mine has stopped working too. So there will be a video about that once I get my head around what to do. You can do it👍

@@YoucandoitwithJules Thanks for your reply , I can assume that your van is caravelle spec with the heating vents in the roof , there is a heating matrix in the rear that is supplied with hot water from the engine block Via the auxiliary heater " webasto thermo top c that comes on when the ambient temperature is below 7 celicus to get the engine up to temperature quickly , without it my van takes about 10 min to heat up , not much use on frosty mornings trying to demist the windshield , alot of rangerovers have them also , but not much content or videos about these factory spec heaters for VW transporter caravelle spec . The heating can also be used as independent heating for the interior with the use of a thermostat . Anyways you'll figure it out really enjoyed all your videos , keep up the good work ..

@@robcon8179 Thanks I’ll see what I can do. The roof heater on ours doesn’t work so it only blows cold air. Very annoying. Now it’s snowing here , i have to get the fan on at the front to get hot air to back. Thanks for the positive feed back as it makes it worthwhile. As all the jobs take a lot longer when you have to video the process. 🐌 Next Video is upgrading rear tailgate struts. You can do it 👍

Can you use this also to screw the wheels back on the T5? Or will it be too powerful ? I think it needs 150 nm per Nut for the wheelnuts.

I've seen on another video that when on the first setting you quickly reach about 170Nm of torque the moment the bolts begin to tighten, so I would be very careful.

Yes almost instantly it starts to hammer it will reach 150nm. I'd use it to spin them on then torque buy hand to correct torque. You can do it.
