Buckin! Almost 4 THOUSAND VIDEOS! Good Lord that's a lot! I haven't even hit 500 videos and I'm like, 🫠 sheesh. Truly impressive. Dedicated. You recently inspired me to buy a mic and start playing around with the idea of adding in voice-overs. I think the way you add in your secondary commentary videos and voice-overs is underrated. It's such a good way to add in important points missed during the initial creation of the video. 👍✌️

Merry Christmas Buckin!! Love seeing you run that 592. Hands down my favorite saw to run especially cutting big wood. The weight to me lets me know I’ve worked an even harder day and I can’t eat so much more food that night! Take care and maybe 2025 we will cross paths

Merry Christmas. Of my two saws my 592 is absolutely my favorite to run but yes it is heavy and that’s why the 562 mk2 gets more use. Absolutely love running them both but theres just something about how that 592 run that makes it take the cake 👍👍

Eastcoast here running 404 24" on a 592, 76DL 063 gauge full house (Oregon 68LX076)...freaking INSANE! Except for limbing (lighter weight), it's hard to go back to weaker saws.

Love this. Great look on big saws. I'm 62 and have all the back issues plus.- cut everything I can with my hotrodded 2511t. then jump to my 1st gen Husky 445. When its time for big and nasty, I break out the Holtzaforma G660 (big blue) with a 36" Tsumara bar and EXL chain. Not fancy, but it handles the big stuff well (actually pretty nice with a 25" bar on it) A good friend has a 395 and its an animal. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas, and have good winter.

Merry Christmas! My uncle is also up on Vancouver Island, more up north nowadays. He used to live in East Sooke. Ran saws all his life, runs excavators, clearing underneath the powerlines for BC Hydro. He still runs saws abd excavators even though he is 72 years old now. I had my internship there In '98. Still love coming back there once in a while. Last time was 2017. We stayed in Parksville for a week (visited Cathedral Grove), then went to Victoria for another week, after which we took a large camper from Vancouver through all the parks up to Calgary. Hopefully we'll repeat that trip soon again, most beautiful place in the world! Cheers from the Netherlands!

As for mention about saws in the five series, . . got to process through some ripping cuts in my hardwood lumber over holidays, using something as humble as a 550 XP. I was told it was an angry little guy (and my own feeling is that in the arborist world these small saws are utilized to do way too much actual big saw tasks, when they shouldn't). I had a nice quantity of hardwood seasoning for a while, so I decided to give my 550 XP some work to do, in taking some boards out of hardwood 'beams' I had made using the bigger saws. It was just the last few slices through my lumber, before I took out a 110 voltage circular saw tool. And that was surprising, I wanted to make battens, small bearer hardwood lumber pieces needed for patching up an old slated roof structure. Something that would 'grip' on to a ring-shank nail shot using a framing nail gun. So that little 550 XP (precisely because it's so gentle, slow and somewhat precise), it ran out a few board lengths of the hardest to hard wood. To where I could then take battens from that using a tungsten carbide tool. I wasn't actually 'prepared' for the surprise of what a modern tungsten carbide circular saw blade can do, in terms of narrow-ness of kerf and smooth-ness of the cut face left over. It's a miracle who well those skil-saw type of tools process through lumber (and keep a very straight line in the cut, even without a jig or guide). The point is though, in taking 'jacket timber' off, just to get to where you can transform your basic tree log, into a lumber cant. That's where your 'heavy' Husky saw comes into play, . . I worked with the 70cc class tools for a long while. And while I'd say an 85 to 90cc five-series Husky is still maybe a bit under-powered for ripping lumber (with bark, i.e. removal of jacket timber to expose the log cant), a 2100 might still do a better job. The five series 80cc plus saw tool really just gets it done (and it was with great reluctance, I switched to the heavier saw, as ripping lumber 'freehand' using a 65 to 70cc class tool, is a much more enjoyable thing to do). It's just that, with the lighter weight tool, you're not making enough progress. When I had lumber that was tiny enough to ripusing a 550 XP, that's when it hits you though. There's a timble full of fuel in a saw tool such as that, and it seems to never 'run out'. That timble full just seems to keep going on, and on. That gets me back to 'arborists' I see using 550 XP's. They're chaps who adapt well to things like battery tools often. They'll pick up tools preferentially, which don't require re-fills. Servicing a large saw with fuel to keep it running is no small task (except in my experience, gaining time on the 'brute force' tasks, gives you back time you need to do more delicate ones). E.g. Bucking firewood pieces at precise 12 inch lengths, it's nice to have a lighter tool then.
@academicmailbox7798
@academicmailbox7798 17 күн бұрын
I'll just add to that, as I don't think it would be obvious without engaging in this task of taking a tree, from the log state right through until the point at which it is down-sized enough to be worked on using a no. 4 or no. 5 hand plane. I would confidently say, that until you see lumber 'after' it has been sawn using a tungsten carbide circular saw blade, you really don't know 'what you have'. And some of the lumber in the different 'hardwood' species types, ends up as fire wood to be burned, or left to rot in nature (and there's nothing wrong with either of those outcomes). When one can utilize something 'powered by gasoline' to get you down to sizes of lumber where you can perform ling ripping cuts through it using modern 110 voltage electrical tools. That's when it dawns on one. Just how good some of this material is (that when it's rough sawn, even with a chainsaw chain that's been fairly well optimized to rip lumber, these hardwoods really don't seem all that spectacular). If you can get to a point though, at which the last few ripping cuts are made using carpenter's tools. You see, that the material is actually 'furniture quality', and nothing less than. That was fairly shocking, for someone who's seen as much lumber sawn using chainsaws, and producing some fairly nice 'rough' lumber. You see it in it's genuine sanded, smooth and planed condition, and it's a totally different thing.

Those are some gnarly , compromised trees - boondoggle set-up there! That 592xp is an animal stock and really shovels the chips from what I can see, tho I am in agreement with ya about the zipped 70cc or the 86er being a better choice. I’ve a zipped 395xp with a 36” bar but seldom have to use it here in my neck o the woods. In fact , where I’m at it’s mostly straight up like a popsicle dead (EAB) ash. 12-18” most of em with a few here and there up to 30” dbh. The zipped and piped 562,572 do the lions share of the process here at Fabz acres. It’s interesting how the actual sound differs between Husqvarna and STIHL when piped - must be something to do with the cylinders / exhaust shape etc. That 562xp is a fantastic saw and uses very,very little fuel when built accordingly … much less than its counterpart the 362c

On the whole point of weight it's worth pointing out that the 592XP is 1.1lbs / 0.5kg lighter than a 395XP, dry weights for both. Same max torque on the two models, but the 592XP brings a full extra horse power to the party.
