The Beatles 3” CD Singles Collection Box Set!

I started collection 3 inch CDs in the 80's. I had over 2000 of them, but I sold lots of unopened Beatles sets, many of which I sold or have to my friends and family who w were Beatles fans. I still have some unopened Beatles, and about 1100 more.

@beatledavesbeatleschannel Yeah, the downstairs closet is full lol. I put a lot of them in 3 ring biders for safe storage and browsing, but a lot of them don't fit in the binders so they are stored in boxes

Very nice one,Dave& clever ending! You know, another 'blast fr.my past' that should've gotten the whole set. Never seen the box though, or the mini info.book; but we do have about 6,7 of them- all new ,except one & still in their mini longboxes. They're.all unique by today's market, yeah? Can't believe we're now 5 HR.s apart; we just moved time back an hr.for Winter, which is the orig. way time was marked here- many of us sure wish they'd 'Let it Be'- funny& completely unintentional, ha. Speaking of though, 4 days till the new Beatles 🎥 movie-Wow!!

I had the I Want To Hold Your Hand 3 inch disc but in a plastic case. Kind of surprised to learn there was a full set released.

Hi Sarah, It’s a super set, not incredibly rare but a really nice one nevertheless. Yes, I’m glad EMI did the decent thing there, even thou it was cheaper when they actually sold it as a complete item! Not too bad here, still recuperating after a shoulder op, take care have a great week!

The EP cd collection is a really cool set as well. I have these as well Dave but contained in a flip top style box much like the BC-13 Beatles collection vinyl boxset.

@@beatledavesbeatleschannel the singles CDs are a picture disc in my set. I just checked after reviewing your video. Talking about cassettes a few years ago I picked up a roller door bread bin style cassette boxset of the Beatles collection for $50.00 AUD. I’m guessing it must be a late 1980’s edition or perhaps a little later. I haven’t seen many on the collectors market.

Ahh yes the bread bin box sets! They are excellent sets and all metal mastered for better sound quality. However there are 2 types of the LP, CD & Cassette boxes. Originals (late 1988) do not have the Apple logo on them, ones from around 1992 do have the Apple on them. There should also be a little black book as part of the set also! I will be showing those sets also at some point! Take care !

Another great video! I have the she loves you disc and I plan on getting more. I never understood why these 70s/80s boxsets didn’t use the official drop t Beatles logo. They would have looked so much better

Thanks Will, Luckily plenty of these CDS are around and probably bargains to be had out there! Absolutely agree, should have always used that logo on all the box sets. But when you think about it, they never used the drop T logo on any original U.K. releases either!

Hey Brad, Yes a little bit cold here but certainly not as cold as it can get where you are. Us brits can’t deal with temperature drops LOL! Fabulous set isn’t it, a lot of the CDs were made in Austria for some reason. I’ve had perhaps a dozen sets over the years and none of them were completely made in the U.K. ! It’s a U.K. made set, but with very few of the CDs made in the U.K. also. Absolutely not stepping on my toes whatsoever, you go for it Buddy! We’re all here for the Fabs , I like to see other takes on things as well and other collections! Stay well!

Dave I started buying these in 1989 I think, here in the US they were in hard plastic cases rather than the paper ones like the ones in your collection. I only have 5 of them: Paperback Writer/Rain; Hey Jude/Revolution; Get Back/Don't Let Me Down; The Ballad of John and Yoko/Old Brown Shoe and Let It Be/You Know My Name.... Unfortunately when the Past Masters came out I bought it and stopped buying the 3" singles. I do remember buying that 3 inch ring adapter to play these. I'll admit, these sound good.

Big thank you for my shout out - really appreciate that mate. Superb set Dave and loved the reversing the CDs back into the box graphic at the end. I didnt get these but I did start collecting the 1982 - picture disc singles which were pictures of the covers that these CDs have . If i remember rightly they started releasing them on the 20th anniversary of each singles release date. Quite considerate of EMI to let you buy an empty box at the end ! Ahh yes love the picture disc singles and they did indeed come out on virtually the same date as the original 45’s, I did a video of all of them and the 12” picture discs! I think EMI got bashed a bit because of what they did, which is why they offered it to anyone wanting one! Thanks mate and stay safe!
