shieaba sadat It has a cool concept. It's not really about any certain subject, really. Lennon wrote the song from reading newspaper headlines in the morning. The lucky man who made the grade and blew his mind out in a car was a man who died in a car crash, I believe. The English Army was about John acting in the film "How I Won the War", which was happening in 1967, the same time that Sgt. Peppers was being recorded. Finally, the Holes in Lancashire was a newspaper headline talking about 400 holes in a street near Lancashire. One of Johns friends made said that all of the mass left out of those holes could fill an Albert Hall, or something like that. The middle section is part of a song Paul wrote, that they added into the middle. Hope that helped :)

It's unbelievable how good these guys were and still are after all this time. Their music still competes, even trumps in my oppinion much of whats been on the market since then. Half the time I hear music on commercials, movies etc and think...that sounds great. Look it up and it's a beatles song. The whole group were creative geniuses.
