Great stuff but I have a few stupid questions and please don't be upset or anything because I can't play guitar because I'm a stroke and cardiac arrest survivor and don't think that my left hand could do that, but anyways so your playing over the original recording of the song yes/no? and how much is you playing over the actual background song? Sorry I don't know how you guys record your videos

Nobody gets the solo correct. George moves to the 10th fret to play the triplets (on the A and D strings). Simply watch any live performance.

@chrispalin40437 жыл бұрын
Liam Painter na dude - that's just what the modern 1990s ones look like. The 90s Japanese Casinos (which that is) had no pick guard. The ones the Beatles played (1960s) did have white pick guards. To be fair, he says in another video that he's looking for a real Beatles-era version of that guitar. Hasn't found it yet so that's the best he has
@judehastings26435 жыл бұрын
wayne pitty taking the pick guard off would make practically no difference to the sound of the guitar. What are you on about
@ferabra89395 жыл бұрын
None of the Beatles had taken the pickguard off their Casinos yet when they recorded Pepper.
@keithstone6735 жыл бұрын
Fer Abra According to the official George Harrison guitar collection app and pictures online, George took the pickguard off of his Casino during their last world tour in 1966. It is still off of the guitar today. This means all of George's electric guitar parts on Sgt. Pepper, as well as the single Strawberry Fields Forever, were played on his pickguard-less Casino (i.e. the title track, With a Little Help From My Friends, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Getting Better, and Sgt. Pepper's (Reprise).)

@@counterfeit1148 And it was also played on the piano by George Martin.
@eyeloop16184 жыл бұрын
In fact the solo was played an octave lower at half speed, cause George couldn't play it at normal speed. Then it was accelerated to sound an octave higher and at double speed. So technically he is playing it as it sounds

Wow - you even got the intro chord right - people always play it as a Gm7 - but it's an Fadd9 IMHO ( I think the bass hits a D at the same time for the trainspotters).
@winstonoboogiejr8 жыл бұрын
The opening chord is difficult to figure out because of the piano chord. You are correct. Both John and George played Fadd9 and Paul played a high D on the bass. George Martin played, D-G-D-F-C on the piano.There is also a cymbal and snare drum hit buried in the mix. Doing it live with two guitars and no piano, a G7sus4 works well on the second guitar. It's basically what Martin played on the piano.

Nice cover Amigo..2 things..on the original recording George Martin slowed the tape to 1/2 speed in order for George to be able to nail the solo which is why the guitar in the solo sounds so high ( despite it being a Rickenbacker 12-string electric) And try playing the rhythm guitar more fluidly.. Neither John nor George added the percussive attacks on their tracks on the recording…👊😎🎼

Arpeggio at the end isn't quite right. Rather than hitting the Fs on the E string, he is playing them on the D string at the 3rd fret. Because, on a 12 string, the D string has two strings tuned an active apart, you will still hear that high F, but you also hear an F an octave below that, which is clearly on the original recording.
