Such an amazing album...how they progressed between 1962 to 1966 is remarkable, considering that they were always so busy...the fact they were able to create such majestic tunes under such pressure just proves how genius they were.

Exactly! It really is remarkable how they progressed from Love Me Do to Tomorrow Never Knows in the space of under 4 years.

The point is often made that "Revolver" is the greatest Beatles album and even the best rock album of all time. But I wish more people would say why they think so when they say these things.

I don't typically watch these deep dives again. But I'm watching this one again for the interview footage. This is rather than stuff it's the big thing that got them to stop touring entirely. I don't blame them one fucking bit for that. They went through years of hell to try and please the fans. Having to deal with mayor's bratty wives and kids and that. Wow I wouldn't want to have to deal with that.

Yeah it’s the side of fame that very few get to see. I’m surprised they lasted as long as they did.

3rd time I've watched these interview clips this is really something to absorb. How about calling a video about singles and oddities, dumpster dive? I think that totally works.

Phenomenal video brother, this is definitely a top 5 Beatles album for me and an absolute classic, one of the albums my parents had on vinyl when i was young and you did a great job on this masterpiece of a video 👏👏👏👏👍🤘🤘

Hi Jeff! I could go on for paragraphs about the brilliance of Revolver, but I can sum it up quickly. Revolver is the greatest and most important album of all time. Great video once again!

Thank you! And that is no overstatement. It completely changed the landscape of popular music.

Rubber Soul or Revolver , which is best and which continent version is better

My entirely subjective ranking would be 1) UK Revolver, 2) US Rubber Soul 3) UK Rubber Soul 4) US Revolver

Because I grew up with the American version, 'Revolver', despite its uniqueness compared to past Beatles albums, didn't score as high with me as, ironically enough, 'Yesterday and Today'! After all, I was only ten years old; 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Love You To' may have been too quirky for my innocent sensibilities. That said, 'Yellow Submarine' was a bit too much of a kiddies tune, I preferred 'Eleanor Rigby'.... but then neither was a rocker. I guess I would rather have had 'Taxman' backed with 'Got To Get You Into My Life' as a single.
@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati44862 ай бұрын
That would have made a great single. Yesterday and Today is one of my favorite Beatles albums.
