man it's really interesting to watch one of these rankings from the perspective of someone who only just got into the Beatles recently. my dad is one of the biggest Beatles nerds in existence and I grew up surrounded by their music, literally the earliest musical memory I have is hearing "I'm Looking Through You" when I was like 3-4 years old and Rubber Soul was the first album I ever listened to full stop (might have a slight bias towards it as a result though which one is my favorite depends on my mood, Magical Mystery Tour was my default pick for a while too) one thing I should mention though is that you discussed Get Back and The Long and Winding Road as the theoretical "endings" to The Beatles' career, but neither of those were what they had in mind since Let It Be was recorded before Abbey Road. the real final track designed to be the sendoff to The Beatles is of course meant to be "The End" and I don't think there's any more fitting possible way for them to go out than that also another cool lesser-known thing about that whole medley on the second side of Abbey Road that my dad recently discovered is that "Her Majesty" was originally meant to go in between "Mean Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam" before it was changed to a bonus "hidden" track at the end, and we were all slightly mindblown by how much sense it made and how well it still flowed when put in that specific spot

Dropping facts! Had no idea they recorded Let It Be prior to Abbey Road, that's very interesting to me and would never have guessed. But this Her Majesty thing is blowing my mind! Going to have to immediately hear this

Harrison’s an underrated writer… also wild to me that Something, Wonderful Tonight, and Layla by Clapton are all about the same girl

I enjoyed hearing your choices and analysis. As an alternative to the Yellow Submarine LP, I love the Yellow Submarine Songtrack (which incidentally has a great audio mix). Worth checking out.

Mystery Tour is soooooo underrated! I've only just gotten into the recently too. If I had to rank them i'd go: 1. Abbey Road 2. White Album 3. Revolver 4. Sgt. Pepper's 5. Magical Mystery Tour 6. Rubber Soul 7. Hard Day's Night 8. Help! 9. Let it Be (Would be higher if George Martin produced it) 10. Please Please Me 11. Beatles For Sale 12. With the Beatles 13. Yellow Submarine Everything from 1-7 are all 10's for me

Agree with every one, though I'd switch #'s 7 and 8.

You are 💯on Let It Be being underrated by most fans. It stands up to their best song for song and it may be somewhere in the top 5 for me. Also based on how you like the deep lush sounds and musicality of some of these songs, you may actually enjoy the music of Yes. They are prog-rock band from the 70s that had virtuoso musicians and played some of the most absolutely amazing atmospheric and complex music you will ever hear. Would recommend The Yes Album, Fragile and if you really want to dive into the deep end Close to the Edge.
