Thank you very much. And glad you got your set figured out. Enjoy it! Meanwhile I just got the Anthology on vinyl. And I am not sure which versions people that complained about them had... but let me tell ya... these pressings from a fee years ago, I guess from DeAgostini sets, sound frickin' amazing. Too bad they did not use more recent mixed for Real Love and Free as a Bird.

The book is so heavy and big it’s very hard to read.

Yeah and this is the case for some of the other books, best way is in bed with support from your legs. :)

Hello. I have viewed volume 1&2 dvd. However the dvd disc does not contain episode 2. Why is that? I just received the dvd set a few days ago. The first volume is the only one I have viewed so far. Help, anyone?

hello. are you talking about the first disc? or the 2nd one? I am asking because my set has 5 discs (dvds). 1st disc contains episodes 1 and 2, 2nd disc contains episodes 3 and 4 and so on.

Wow. Very nice! Great memories. When the Anthology book was released, my coworker and I went to Borders bookstore, got the book with a nice bag and joined the singalong of All You Need is Love, organized by KFOG (legendary Bay Area radio station) at Union Square. We nicely butchered the song, LOL. Sadly no Borders, no KFOG now. I’m hoping that Free as a bird and Real Love would get the Peter Jackson treatment on the Anthology reissue.

Yeah, both songs being properly demixed from the source and slightly cleaner mixes would do, then they can add Now and then to Anthology 3 where it belonged and bring out the restored video documentary.

Last week I ordered the Anthology dvd box set from Amazon and it was a fake. Got a refund and ordered it from another company. Should get it next week, fingers crossed it's genuine.

Kepping mine crossed for you as well. Just be aware that these are not being produced anymore for quite a while, so don't expect new sets at very small prices.

Grew up listening to my dad's anthology tapes in the car. He passed away last year and I was going through his stuff and found the anthology book. Great book but some parts are very difficult to read as the text is on coloured backgrounds/photos. Never watched the series but really want to now.

I'm sorry for your loss. Looks like your dad had great taste however. And yes, the doc is a really great watch. The only real occasion you get to see the three remaining Beatles interact positively after their break up and especially after John's death. Considering the last time that happened was Let it be, and considering what impression that left on people until very recently, this Anthology reunion was quite special. Aside from that it probably remains the most extensive and detailed doc about their career as a group, even considering George's sometimes downer comments or Paul's tendency to... curate his messages sometimes.
