Hello sir Hope that you are doing good I didn’t know that these press kits existed but they seem very cool It’s amazing how many Beatles items are out there that I wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for your. channel so I’am very happy that you are showing them I remember when The Beatles Anthology came out I was an eight year old little girl and I was very hyped up about it Sadly though I could not listen to the documentary because on the day it aired my parents decided that they wanted to go to Mexico for a few days When I found out that we were leaving, I asked them if we could do the trip to Mexico another time because I wanted to listen to The Beatles Anthology on television but sadly it didn’t work because my brothers also wanted to go to Mexico like my parents so it was 4 against 1 But I was very happy after all because even though I didn’t listen to the documentary, they did get me the CDs on the day after we returned home and listening to the music, made me very happy especially when I heard Free As a Bird I hope that they release The Beatles Anthology on Blu-ray and I hope that they remaster the CDs so that future Beatles fans can hear them Anyways God bless you and I am really looking forward to your next video Oh, and one more thing Please remember that this coming Sunday would have been the birthday of our John Lennon so hopefully you could do a video dedicated to him God bless you once again and please stay safe

Hi Angie, Glad you like the press kits, they are quite rare and really glad I can show many people like yourself items that you may have never seen! That’s a shame you didn’t see the anthology on the TV, but having the CDs was a great trade off! I most certainly believe the Anthology series with be put onto Blu ray at sone point and maybe the cds may get a rerelease. Oh yes , we can never forget Mr John Lennon and his upcoming birthday. This Wednesday is the 60th anniversary of Love me do and I’ve made a special for that. Stay well and thanks for watching!

Hi Dave I have a press kit for anthology 1. Back in mid 1990s I rang up the national radio station in Ireland after hearing about a little competition. So with guitar in hand I did a guitar intro and verse and chorus of here comes the Sun. I realise now that it was not complete set looking at your kit . They liked my performance and sent it out to me. It did include a copy of anthology 1 with a press only sticker. But loads missing from it.... Lovely stuff man!

Hi Dave Hope you're well. Great set of Anthology press kits. I watched the Anthology series when it aired on ITV back in the mid 90s. My son was about 6 at the time and he liked the music. It was good that you got the sets complete with the cds. I thought week might've been just John related as it would've been his birthday. Take care and see you next Sunday 🙂

Per usual, a smashing job Dave! I passed on buying these press kits several times, as back in the mid 90s I befriended a Capitol Records "insider" who basically sold anything he got his hands on for a 100% profit.😉 But I did grab up the cd promos relating to the Fabs, as well as that beautiful Anthology 2 vinyl sampler!

I have Bulgarian bootleg CD's ,very cheap,not the best quality,but they play. And have a German cassette first "Anthology," So,have all of it,vinyl never came to my part of the World. Nice video. Cheers Dave.

Hi beatle dave .about the beatles anthology vinyl. Like most of us I move to cds in the mid 1980s and bought beatles cds, I would like to know is the first pressings are top quality from the mid 90s, but the 20l7 deagostini pressing, as good with sound and content, is the quality the same. Because l am buying vinyl again. Also the last vinyl I got was the beatles live at the bbc in a brown cover, why are they back and white covers to ,is there a difference.

Hi Charles, Hope your well! The original pressings of the Anthology are excellent sounding with the Deagostini pressings basically the same , although they were pressed from new lacquer plates which have the Deagostini wording on the run out area. The brown at the BBC cover is basically the first pressing of the album the black and white version being reissued along with the Vol 2 issue! Thanks for watching!
