Every pass through is unique and so melodically tuned in. From the Get Back film, we know they bashed this album out in about a month, so it's incredible but not surprising that he just hopped up and laid this down.

When you see the bass line tabbed and played like this it's a reminder just how good Paul was. The music flowed out of him and he was in the zone when he wrote and recorded this. Well done and thank you Lefty for making this video and helping us all to enjoy, appreciate and play this masterpiece

What I love about your videos is that there's not any extra right hand movement that's not specifically playing notes. Often when there's rest in the music a player moves the hand needlessly up and down the neck as if the occupy themselves. You make really easy to follow videos.

uaooo, "you and Paul" insieme... è fantastico come complimento! Io sarei super orgoglioso. Bravo! @@LeftyBassman

I am SO very impressed with the accuracy of your tabs ... in addition to the fact they're actually left-handed. I've just bought your "rooftop collection" so I can relearn the songs with the correct notation. (I'm a bit dyslexic in addition to being a lefty, so being able to have a paper copy to follow is very important to me!) Thanks for all the hard work you've put into these videos. Know it's greatly appreciated. (btw, if you're interested, I play a Hofner 500/1 Contemporary that's been modified with '63 electronics... Labella's Hofner 500/1 flatwound strings... thru a Fender 100w Bass Rumble modeling amp with presets for Vox bass, Fender Bassman, Marshall, and Mesa Boogy, with a Donner chorus & a Boss Fuzz pedal in the signal chain. I also have a Harley Benton lefty Rickenbacher copy (amazing value!!) from Thomann Guitar in Germany, and a lefty Squire P bass.

All of the beatles played excellent on the roof especially since they hadn't played live for 3 years the addiction of billy preston was great R.I.P. billy you where and awsome musician even george who had no interest on playing on the roof John's lead on get back was incredible even george was smiling once they got into it and Paul's bass playing live shows why he is considered one of the 20 best bass players of all time the fact that he could sing while playing some of those lines was pure genius it would have been nice if they where all in the same mind set and played a few venues maybe under another name but it wasn't ment to be this would be there last live performance i wonder sometimes if the police that shut thing's down think about how history was being made they didn't look like they where to happy doing it well at least we have this film footage of the event they where way ahead of there time it's so cool seeing john at 29 and paul looked so cool with his beard i like how he always wore a suit a left over from brian epstien and ringo with his wifes rain coat george playing rythm and enjoying himself this is how i like to remember them.

alot of people think yhat the bass is a real simple instrument to play and it can be if you just want to play 1 4 5 songs and just play the root notes in every song and there's times when a guitar band that's all there looking for that's basically how I started out but if you really take and interest a good bass player can make a band I always thought bass and drums ate more relatedness than bass and guitars the drummer relates to the bass player and the same with the drummer I was lucky in some ways because on top of being and excellent guitar player he played bass very well piano and he was and still is and awsome jazz drummer so we would play on Saturdays I could tell when he was going to make a change and I learned alot of walking bass lines and it didn't take me to long to develope my timing during the week I would start out with scales in different keys then I would practice riffs from songs I liked but after a while I put it down for whatever reason and after about fifteen years I decided to give it a try again and was kind of surprised how much I had forgotten and it's like starting from scratch arthritic hands and a few memory problems haven't helped so anyone out there thinking about taking a break because your not progressing the way you think you should get that crap out of your heads it not possible to judge yourself just keep playing I'll bet you're alot better than you think you are good luck

It is without question that Paul McCartney is the greatest bass player off all time however I’ve not seen one comment on regarding his left handedness. We left handers can see in our minds what right handers cannot. He’s not only playing he is also seeing the music internally and is playing to it. His internal visual is drawing him along as he plays. That’s how he plays and sings at the same time. He is actually in two mind sets at the same time. I’m 75 and have been doing this all my life. The only right hander that I’ve seen can do this is another bass player ….. Sting.

This is hard. It is not as easy as it looks. There are some very unusual passages that kinda deviate from the scales, sometimes he does semitone slide, sometimes he does tone hammers. The complexity is hidden in the details. Paul McCartney is one of the best bass players of our time, very underestimated.
