Yesss, this song is a complete banger. The guitar parts and *especially* that bassline. Love this song, amazing cover!

… what about the bassline?
@evanistephani9 ай бұрын
@@MegaMinecraftluver Its present, its groovy, great tone, consistent and drives the song forward constantly while not being overbearing. And the double-tracked section before the fade it such a cool moment, but that's just how I feel

Marvelous dude The "take it easy" - chorus part is probably one of my favorite combinations of guitar, bass, and drums in music ever

That's excellent! You carefully cover George's play. Also the Les Paul guitar sounds great. I've always thought George played this song well. Thank you.

Can someone confirm for me if they invented the punk riff? (2:06) 🤯 I've always thought about this song. Another medal for them. The punks were influenced by the beatles among others.

@@Vincentlpp08 Yeah, and garage bands, and rock'n'roll, glam.. But I'm surprised that this part of the song is basically literally the modern punk riff. It is God save the queen of Sex Pistols.

There’s a lot of garage rock like you mentioned. Look at an collection of songs from the mid to lte 60s called the nuggets. Big influence in 70s scene as punk as we know it started. Or the song Ruit on sunset strip by the standells
@ronniechilds2002 Жыл бұрын
I never thought about that before, but I believe yer right. Starting right at your excerpt, it sounds just like a punk song...a hundred punk songs...ALL punk songs...

I’m guessing this was written around the same time as Birthday - they’re similar in attitude and performance

It was written in May 1968 and recorded 27 June. Birthday was written and recorded on 18 September. White Album was released 22 November.

Great cover, you got the tones just right. Although it would be alot better if you added more distortion to the les paul.

You must be 6'6" or so to dwarf both a Rickenbacker bass and that Les Paul like that... Nice job, BTW.
