I can't wait until they apply this technology to the Star Club tapes

The problem with those tapes is they are from a home tape machine belonged to Ted Taylor, although the original microphone has been changed to a better microphone quality, the overall result suffers enormously from this lack of quality. I tried to convert the track "Kansas City/Hey,Hey,Hey,Hey", with the latest stem separations technology (from the best sources possible and amongst them, the Zu Laut mixes) and the result is very diappointing...But...In this kind of technology, what was "impossible" yesterday doesn't mean that it will also be tomorrow....

That would be cool to hear. Have they announced that they want to use AI to improve the Star Club tapes??

@@lypilapaI imagine the biggest problem would be the vocals. The mic is picking up the sound from the stage, with Lennon’s amp being especially prominent, but the vocals are coming from the Star Club’s PA speakers off to the side of the stage.

Im glad I lived long enough to experience the Beatles and this technology. Thanks for sharing how you made "Get Back" possible. It was impressive and amazing.

I feel fortunate that I've lived this long, going from listening to the original mono vinyl discs of the early 60s, to now be able to listen to what it actually sounded like in the studio back in 1969, thanks to the MAL technology. Back in the early 60s, they were recording on 2-track tape, then moved to 4-track, etc. But they had to combine tracks in order to add new material, thereby eliminating the possibility of ever going back to the original tracks. Until now, that is! With MAL, I expect they will be able to release the entire catalog of Beatles material in state-of-the-art audio, and I anxiously await the results!

That MAL software is staggering. That needs to be commercially available, like yesterday!

Why didn’t they use the A Roll AND B Roll tapes which had the hanging microphones in different parts of the studio to make the soundtrack a wider Stereo?

I loved the audio innovations of the MAL software. I didnt like what they did to the picture on Get Back. I can't believe that they thought that made the 16mm look better.
