Nothing but guitar, bass, drums and vocals. People could still make music like this if they wanted to.

It was 1966, my very first concert ever! I was there! My friends parents had an extra ticket and asked if i wanted to go! There were girls fainting all around us, so we put them back into their seats and kept rockin! What a memory! I was 16 years old and in a band playing their music! What a long and crazy trip its been!!

I didn't attend, I was eight and lived just below Dodger stadium, on the other side of the 5 fwy. I remember hearing, not knowing, but asking mom, what is that loud (shrill) noise? Found out next day via the evening news, it was the Beatles concert, and the shrill noise heard were the girls screaming (and passing out). This validates what I remember. Who would've belived this?

Tha Beatles were at the very beginning of massive live concerts and I observe that they usually just play their set and leave, but little by little they were doing more show, like moving and dancing getting more visual, but at the they decided at the moment that they were more like composers and studio band,. Just Paul and Ringo, with time really enjoy being live musicians and not only studio artist.

Wow...Just seeing the KRLA call letters brings back sooo many memories...Larry and I were just checking out gear at Wallach's Music City in Southbay (Torrence)...and I said to Larry (drummer in the band)..."Hey look tickets for The Beatles at Dodger Stadium are on sale ($5.50 and 6.50)...I was short on cash, so Larry paid for my tickets(Did I ever pay him back?)...What a show...barley heard them due to the majority of female fans screaming their vocal chords out....^/^

Were any of those last US tour concerts professionally filmed?
@finch45lear8 жыл бұрын
I have yet to see anything. Perhaps the forthcoming Ron Howard documentary will unearth something. If indeed it is presented it will be totally new to collectors as no pro shot film of this US 1966 has been written about let alone seen. Of course the best filmed 1966 shows are the Tokyo gigs from June 30 and July 1. Professionally done and in color.

Beware all sanitized to make cash .zilch new in that ron Howard 8 days a week. Just a cash cow. Save cash to to beatles fest. Note ringos pocket st shea stadium first time. Lol in wrong place. Second shea gig not a word is there zilch . John gave his army jacket to a crying fan well arny styled after first shea gig but they usually had two as hes wearing similar one at budokan evening show .
