A friend and I saw this concert. We were both 17. We had long hair and bell bottoms which wasn't common yet at that time. We had time to kill before the concert so we went on the boardwalk. Immediately people surrounded us, assuming we had to be part of the Beetles entourage. Everyone thought I was John Lennon's wife so my friend and I really played it up. We had a huge crowd following us everywhere we went. We then decided to try to get in the Lafayette Hotel where the Beetles were staying on the top floor. When we walked in one of the staff stopped us and asked if we had rented a room there. I said, I am Cynthia Lennon and I want to go up to meet with him. That person said, "okay so we got the elevators as far as the elevators and then we were stopped. They must have called them to verify. Later, we went to the concert. We had terrible seats, upper balcony, but the second they came out, you literally couldn't hear the music. Everyone was scream including us. Girls were trying to jump off the balcony to get closer. It was totally insane, but such a wonderful time.

I was there in '64 as an 11yr old kid. Couldn't hear a damn thing but the screaming. As soon as they were announced, the crowd got up on their chairs for the entire concert! I wasn't that tall. I was only 11. I stood up on my chair just high enough to see the Beatles shaking their mop tops as they performed. 🤣🎸🎸🎸🥁🎶😎😎😎😎 What an experience! Beatlemania at the height of it! And I was there! I still have the ticket stub!! 🎟🎫🎟

I was there too and I also was short. A lady sitting next to me put her hands on my waist while I stood on the back of the seat. I could see them that way. And I discovered the only way to hear them sing was to put my fingers in my ears. It shut out the screaming and I could hear the Beatles!

I was there! I also was at the Lafayette. BTW, they left in a laundry truck, not a fish truck. I was in Section D. The moment they came on stage, all the girls stood up on their seats. I was short and a lady next to me put her hands on my waist and held me up while I stood on the back of the seat and could see them. I also discovered that by putting my fingers in my ears, I could hear them sing. It drowned out the screams and strangely made it possible to hear the music.

I was there. It was true about not being able to hear them. They would strike the first chord & all hell broke loose. I did not attend another concert for 20 years. I still have my ticket!

I was there also. Opening acts were no slouch, either.....Righteous Brothers and Jackie DeShannon. Of course I only saw them...hearing was impossible.

I was staying with my grandmother that summer who lived two blocks from Convention Hall. One Evening i was standing in front of her apartment when who should drive by in a limo but none other than the Beatles themselves. I quickly ran inside to get something for them all to sign but when I got back out the limo was gone. I remember thinking that Ringo’s nose was huge. The windows weren’t tinted and i was close enough to walk right up to the limo. I wish I could have gotten their autographs.

I was in Atlantic City on this date with my family on our yearly vacation there. We always went the last week in August. We stayed at the Dennis Hotel where the elevator man told us about the Beatles concert. I loved the Beatles as everyone did at the time but I was too young to go to the concert. I still have a Beatles Beach Towel I use to use there.

Hi Nick.I wanna let you know my father was their personal driver for Philly and AC.Ive been trying to get footage with him somewhere as he passed away at 55 years old as manager for my brothers and I with Beatlefest Inc. We werte playing a show with Chuck Berry in NJ and came home only to find he passed. The news team wrote an awesome article showing hgow he drove the Beatls for their first US tour. I have Facebook as I am a singer songwriter on here as well. Chop Volpe

2:05. I couldn't afford the $2 ticket ( LOL) so I was standing.with my ear against that garage door as they were playing ,( although I couldn't hear them too much due to the screaming) .When the concert ended , there was pandemonium in the streets . A sea of kids like ants on two limos that were decoys. People running in the streets......it was actually frightening . You da' man !

So was there every video? I have a few photos from my attendance at the concert when I was 16. And from my attendance at the NYC Paramount Concert earlier that year. (Where we got the last row in the house!) See my video on my youtube site called "we went to see the beatles"
