Good stuff about the Beatles...but you did not give enough info about that property (the Za-ZA Gabor home) that you were walking around on, at 2850 Benedict Canyon Road. The home was built in 1949. and Cary Grant was in there for some time...then Gabor...she rented it out, not only to the Beatles, but also the rolling Stones...amd my favorite Rock God, Jimi Hendrix, stayed there for a month, during late Sept and most all of Oct of 1968!...You were walking on hallowed ground, my friends!..there are photos of Hendrix, jamming in the back patio area, along with his drummer, Mitch Mitchell....Jimi also managed to wreck his first Corvette, on that very road that you guys were cruising up on....A few days later, he bought a new one...it was interesting to see what happened to that lovely home...clearly, it was totally torn down, and I just wonder what sort of new home will take shape...the property was sold to some developer a couple of years ago...they seem to be taking their time replacing that home...Why people tear down these beautiful, older homes, I do not understand...and so many "Rock" stars visited at that place. I guess nobody really cares about such places, anymore.
