Great little video! just sitting down to practice playing and this video pops up. I've loved the Get Back documentary so far, just have part 3 to go, one of my favourite things from it has been the goofing off between the four of them, particularly the altering of lyrics. I will never unhear the alternative lyric "everybody had a hard on" haha 😂 Something I have found with practicing, and it's taken me a while to discover/ confirm it, is that it has to be fun for me, a great 15 minutes of fun practice is so much better for me than say an hour plus of something that's not so fun. Little and often is the way.

I bet that all the screwing around was necessary to challenge them considering how long they had played together. I definitely agree with the idea that good practicing requires being a bit on the edge of struggle to keep your brain engaged....which is why i roll my eyes when people say they practice for hours at a time. Nah. They play for hours at a time, but only a little of that time is what I'd call practicing. Not saying simply playing doesn't have value, but your brain simply can't focus on the level needed for very long to "practice" for hours at a time..

Excellent point George-- the time they had spent together was intense and at that point it had been many years of playing. I appreciate the comment and thoughts!
